The latch assembly further has an actuating assembly including a paddle that is pivotably mounted for movement relative to the housing about a first axis between first and second positions. The paddle has a second wall with a rearwardly facing surface. The actuating assembly further has a post projecting rearwardly from the second wall into the opening through the first wall. The post has a third wall which fully blocks the opening through the first wall as viewed from the front of the latch assembly with the paddle in the first position.

摘要： An anti-theft latch is proposed. The anti-theft latch has a movable stud having a driven means therein. A pin serves to connect the movable stud with the driven means. The driven means is pivotally installed with a static latch. A guide groove is formed on the static latch. The pin is matched with the guide groove. The guide groove of the static latch is formed with a buckling portion. When the movable stud is to be unlocked by an outer force, the pin will eject and buckle the buckling portion so that the static latch can not retract to the movable stud to achieve an effect of statically locking. An auxiliary spring is further installed for pushing the driven means to move forwards. Therefore, in a normal condition, the static latch will achieve an effect of statically locking. As a result, the thief has no possibility to unlock the movable stud to move inwards and therefore, a preferred anti-theft effect is achieved.

摘要： The invention provides a dual release system for a slam lock to a luggage compartment door for a vehicle. The slam lock, as is conventional, includes a catch and a latch bar. The catch is installed on a surface of the luggage compartment adjacent the door. The latch bar is mounted through a lock cylinder, which is in turn mounted through opposite major sides of the door to bring the latch bar into engagement with the catch when the door is closed. The latch bar is spring biased to releasably engage the catch. The lock cylinder is accessible by key from the major side of the door on the exterior of the vehicle, and is actuable to move the latch bar to a released position relative to the catch. A release cable within the vehicle is attached to the latch bar to pull the latch bar to the released position relative to the catch.

摘要： A mortise latch and exit device includes active and passive mortise latch mechanisms with corresponding concealed vertical rods operated by links mounted within the mortise latch mechanisms. The mortise latch mechanisms latch double doors at a center point between the doors and at top points between each door and the door frame. Lower vertical rods may also be used to latch at bottom points between the doors and the floor. The active and passive mortise latch mechanisms are operated by corresponding push handle mechanisms and rotary handles. The mortise latch mechanisms cooperatively interact so that either door may be opened first, and either door may be closed first, without regard to the position of the other door. The active mortise latch mechanism includes a latch bolt and an activation bolt arranged so that one bolt is retracted when the other is extended, except when the doors are being opened or closed, when both bolts are retracted. The active mortise latch mechanism automatically retracts the latch bolt when the doors are not aligned and automatically extends the latch bolt when the doors are aligned. The passive mortise latch mechanism ejects the latch bolt as needed to allow the passive door to be opened first.

摘要： A reversible mortise lock comprises a latch bolt which is removable from the housing for ease of reversal. A securing member is disposed inside the lock housing for releasbly holding the latch bolt in the housing. The securing member includes a securing element having a blocking surface biased into engagement with the latch bolt for securing the latch bolt to the securing member. The securing element has a surface accessible from outside the lock housing which when pressed releases the latch bolt from the securing member. Once the latch bolt is freed, the latch bolt can be completely removed from the lock housing, reversed and reinstalled. This releasing surface is only accessible through the side walls of the lock housing. Therefore, latch bolt reversal must be performed before the lock is installed in a door. Once the lock is installed, the latch bolt cannot be reversed because the latch bolt cannot be removed from the lock. A locking mechanism for use in the lock comprises a blocking element in the housing and a toggle for manually moving the blocking element between a locked position and an unlocked position relative to a latch operator. A stop is removably attached to the blocking element and adapted in the locked position to prevent operation of the outside latch operator. The stop is also accessible through the side walls of the lock housing and positioning of the stop in the blocking element is accomplished before installation. Preferably, the stop is a threaded plug which is received in a threaded opening in the blocking element. Thus, a screw driver is the only tool needed to release the latch bolt from the lock housing for reversal of the latch bolt and locking mechanism.
