摘要： The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for handling liquids or gases. In particular, the present invention relates to a double walled apparatus having interwoven fibers between the inner and outer walls of the pipe. The invention may also include sensors in the apparatus. The apparatus comprises a first wall designed to contain a liquid or a gas, a second wall designed to contain any liquid or gas that penetrates the first wall, and interwoven fibers coupled between the first and second wall. The interwoven fibers are preferably resin laminated fibers in a matrix configuration. The apparatus may also comprises a sensor and a wire embedded in the apparatus either in the first wall, the interwoven fibers, or the second wall. The first wall is preferably comprised of three layers that are cohesively bonded together. The invention further provides a method for manufacturing such apparatuses, a network of such apparatuses, and a system and method for monitoring conditions in such apparatuses and the location of the apparatuses and sensors within the network.

The brake hose comprises an inner tube rubber layer having a flow path for flowing fluid, a lower yarn layer formed by braiding first yarns around the inner tube rubber layer and an upper yarn layer formed by braiding second yarns around the lower yarn layer and a cover rubber layer covering the upper yarn layer. A lower yarn layer duty LD given by the equation, LD(%)=(LRP/PRP)×100, has a value of 50-65%, where LRP denotes an inner pressure at which a brake hose without the upper yarn layer and the cover would burst, and PRP denotes an inner pressure at which the brake hose would burst.

The pipe includes a body (7), an internal sealing sheath (8), at least one steel armouring layer (9,10) withstanding the stresses induced by the inside/outside pressure difference, and at least one traction-resisting steel armouring layer (11, 12) spirally wound at an angle less than 45° in relation to the axis of the pipe. In this pipe, at least the armouring layer withstanding the stresses induced by the inside/outside pressure difference is made of a determined steel meeting H2S resistance criteria, and at least the traction-resisting armouring layer is made from steel wires that do not meet H2S resistance criteria.
