    摘要: A hydraulic brake hose assembly for bicycles. A tube for carrying fluid is covered by a fiber mesh layer. The covered tube has a first fitting at a first end of the covered tube, a second fitting at a second end of the covered tube and a coating over the covered tube from the first end to the second end, covering a first point where the first fitting meets the covered tube and covering a second point where the second fitting meets the covered tube. The fluid carrying tube may be formed of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) fiber material, such as TEFLON®, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, rubber or any other suitable material. The fiber mesh layer may be formed of a metallic material, such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, or any other suitable non-metallic material, such as carbon fiber, polyamide fiber, such as KEVLAR®, glass fiber, and graphite fiber. The coating may be formed of shrink-fit polyolefin, or any other suitable material. The first and second fittings may be configured and adapted to facilitate removal of the brake hose assembly from a brake system and re-attachment of the brake hose assembly to the brake system, permitting the assembly to be reused. The first and second fittings may also be configured and adapted for removal from the covered tube and replacement on the covered tube.

    摘要: A fluid-impermeable composite hose has a wall including a laminated layer formed by longitudinally lapping a laminated sheet which contains a metallic foil, or a metallic layer formed by vapor deposition. The laminated layer is bound with thread wound about it at a density not exceeding 20%, and bound to an extent forming constrictions therein if required. The thread prevents the deformation in cross section of the hose and the separation of the overlapping edge portions of the laminated sheet which might otherwise be caused by the bending resistance of the laminated sheet. The constrictions improve the flexibility of the hose.

    摘要: There is provided a sound-absorbing and a heat-insulating duct comprising a nonwoven cloth layer 1, a reinforcing core 2, a foam strip layer 3, a bonding resin 4 and resin-coating layer 5. The nonwoven cloth layer 1 is formed by wound spirally a nonwoven cloth 10 into a tube-like shape in which adjacent side edges of the adjacent nonwoven cloths 10 are brought in abutment against or lapped with each other so as to form a bonding portion 1a. The reinforcing core 2 made of hard synthetic resin material is wound spirally on the bonding portion 1a while a surface of the reinforcing core 2 being brought into contact with the nonwoven cloth 10 is welded or bonded to the nonwoven cloth 10. The foam strip layer 3 is formed by wound spirally a foam resin strip 30 having a width approximately equal to a width of the nonwoven cloth 10. Both adjacent edges 3a, 3b of the foam resin strip are disposed on adjacent reinforcing cores 2, 2 respectively. The bonding resin 4 is applied to a side surface 30B of the foam strip 30 and a part 2A of the reinforcing core 2. The resin-coating layer 5 is provided to cover an outer circumferential surface of the foam strip layer 3. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a sound-absorbing and heat-insulating functions, which is suitable for use as an air-blow duct, and which is suitable for continuous production so that the duct can be mass-produced inexpensively.

    摘要: There is provided a heat-insulating and noise reducing duct constituted by reinforcing core 1, a thick felt layer 2, a foamed resin strip layer 3 and a resin-coating layer 4. The reinforcing core 1 is made of hard polyolefin resin material and wound spirally at predetermined intervals. The thick felt layer 2 is wound spirally on an outer circumferential surface of the reinforcing core so that adjacent side edge portions of the felt layer 2 are lapped over or brought into contact with each other, while the shape of the felt layer is retained by the reinforcing core 1. The foamed resin strip layer 3 made of polyolefin resin material and wound spirally on an outer circumferential surface of the felt layer 2 so that adjacent side edge portions of the foamed resin strip layer 3 are in abutment against or in tight contact with each other. The resin-coating layer 4 provided to cover an outer circumferential surface of the foamed resin strip layer 3. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a sound-absorbing and heat-insulating duct which is simple, not complicated, in structure, which can achieve both sound-absorbing and heat-insulating functions, which is suitable for use as an air-blow duct, and which is suitable for continuous production so that the duct can be mass-produced inexpensively without requiring any new equipment.

    摘要: The hose of the present invention comprises a soft hose wall (A) and a spiral reinforcement (B) for retaining the configuration of the hose. The hose wall (A) is formed with a composition comprised of: a resin component (A1) containing a diene-series or hydrogenated diene-series rubber component, and an olefinic resin; and a lubricant (A2). The rubber component may be a random or block copolymer of styrene and butadiene. The olefinic resin may be a polypropylene-series resin. The lubricant (A2) may be a higher fatty acid or its derivative (e.g., a higher fatty acid amide), a higher alcohol or its derivative, a hydrocarbon-series wax, an organopolysiloxane, or fluorine-containing resin. The present invention provides a hose which is lighter, free from PVC, and capable of maintaining excellent flexibility even used for a long period of time.
