    摘要: An electrical control device having a joystick or lever manually movable in the X and Y directions to actuate a pair of electrical components having respective rotatable shafts. The controller includes a housing having a top cover provided with an opening through which the lever extends. The lower end of the lever is pivotally mounted in a socket on the bottom of the housing and a ball joint is carried by the lever intermediate its ends. The ball joint is pivotally coupled to a control plate shiftable in the housing beneath the top cover, the plate being biased into an equilibrium position by a number of leaf springs normally engaging respective side margins of the plate. The plate has a pair of slots in its lower surface, the slots being mutually perpendicular and vertical projections on the outer ends of a pair of bell cranks are shiftably received within respective slots in the plate. The bell cranks are coupled to the rotatable shafts of respective electrical components so that, when the plate is moved in any one of a number of different directions upon manual movement of the lever, one or both of the rotatable shafts of the electrical components are rotated to actuate the components.

    摘要: A removable joystick for use with a video game controller includes a base shaft that is coupled to a joystick unit in the housing of the video game controller so that the proximal end of the base shaft extends to a location at or below an outer surface of the housing. A top shaft assembly is removably coupleable to the base shaft. The top shaft assembly includes a top shaft with a proximal end that removably couples to a joystick ball. The top shaft assembly also includes a collar that is spring loaded and movably coupled to the top shaft and has a flange that extends outward from the outer surface of the collar. The top shaft assembly removably couples to the base shaft via a quick disconnect assembly. When the top shaft assembly is disconnected from the base shaft, the flange of the collar engages and retains a dust cover disposed over the collar to inhibit misplacement or loss of the dust cover. This assembly facilitates travel with the video game controller by allowing decoupling of the joystick while preventing misplacement or loss of the dust cover.

    摘要: A joystick mechanism includes a housing, a substantially spherical magnetic ball rotatably mounted on the housing, a joystick shaft attached to the magnetic ball, and a pair of magnetic effect sensors operatively positioned adjacent the magnetic ball. The sensors, which are positioned along the x and y axes, are aimed perpendicular to each other and the z axis. Thereby, movement of the joystick and the ball causes a change in the magnetic field which is measured and indicated by the sensors.

    摘要: A manual override handle assembly for the operation of a hydraulic control valve of the type having a movable spool includes a housing forming a hollow chamber in which a spool extension is slidably mounted. A handle assembly extends outwardly from the housing and is mounted for pivotal movement within the chamber. The handle is movable to an inoperable position wherein the handle is disassociated from the spool extension so that movement of the spool extension will not result in movement of the handle. The handle is further movable to an operable position wherein the handle engages the spool extension so that movement of the handle results in movement of the spool extension.

    摘要: A single lever control unit for regulating a plurality of remote, servient mechanisms. At least two motion transmitting mechanisms in the nature of push-pull control cables are individually, and selectively, operated by a single control lever pivotally, and rotatably, mounted in the unit to regulate at least two, remote, servient mechanisms. The control unit has first and second throw arms that are oriented transversely with respect to each other and so mounted that each is selectively rotatable about the axis of the other by manipulation of the lever. The core of one push-pull cable is attached to the first throw arm for actuation by rotation of the first throw arm about the axis of the second throw arm, and the core of another pushpull cable is attached to the second throw arm for actuation by rotation of the second throw arm about the axis of the first throw arm. A plurality of switch means are mounted in the unit to be actuated in response to selected rotations of the throw arms to regulate a third, remote, servient mechanism.
