    摘要： A cultivator sweep having a substantially constant cross-sectional thickness and configured with a generally triangular head portion including a pair of side edges diverging symmetrically rearward from a nose region. Each of the side edges is provided with a bevelled outer edge defining a blade region to enhance weed cutting ability of the sweep. Each blade region extends forwardly toward and terminates short of the foremost point of the sweep to provide the nose region with a width equal to at least two times the thickness of the sweep thereby increasing the strength and configuration of the nose region thus prolonging the useful life of the sweep. The sweep can also include in the attachment portion which is integrally formed with the head portion.

    摘要： A ridge forming attachment for cultivators of a type having a plurality of earth working blades thereon for eliminating weeds between rows of crops growing in the field. The ridge forming attachment includes a bracket adapted to be attached to such cultivator rearwardly of one of the earth working blades thereon. A ridge forming wing structure is provided for moving the soil loosened by the earth working blades which it follows between the rows of crops and pushing such loose dirt to each side to form ridges along the rows of growing crops. The ridge forming structure is narrower at the front thereof and progressively tapers outwardly towards the rear of the space between rows for pushing the soil from such space between the rows outwardly towards the rows of growing crops. A connection structure is provided for operatively pivotally attaching the ridge forming structure to the bracket along a substantially vertical axis whereby the ridge forming structure will precisely track behind the earth working blades for permitting the ridge forming structure to be temporarily deflected from one side to the other in the event that rocks or other potentially damaging obstacles are encountered, and for tracking precisely behind such earth working blade even at those times when the row is not exactly straight.

    摘要： A special tool is designed to trail behind a conventional cultivator sweep or other soil loosening device in the middle of the furrow between rows of growing crops. The implement is hinged in a horizontal plane to the back of the sweep and is adjustable as to height and width. The implement clears the furrow of loose soil between the rows of the growing crops and shapes the furrow and pushes the dirt to the row to cover small weeds.

A lister is mounted on each chisel to dispose its lower cutting edges in position to sever the soil above the lower end of the chisel point and turn it onto beds on opposite sides of the trench.

The boot features a channel member having front, rear and side walls defining a channel extending downward from an inlet proximate the top end to an outlet proximate the bottom end, a sweep connection element defined on the channel member at a front side and a shank connection element defined on the channel member at a rear side thereof. A spreader is supported on the channel member proximate the outlet thereof to receive product delivered from the inlet through the channel member and guide the product laterally outward to both sides of the outlet. Arranged to mount in front of the shank and behind the sweep, the boot positions the outlet ahead of the shank to minimize disruption of product placement by earth falling back into the furrow behind the shank.
