Abstract: According to some embodiments, a stacking assembly accepts mail-pieces traveling from a re-direct mechanism in a first direction and urges a leading edge portion of a mail-piece toward a registration wall of a sortation bin. The stacking assembly may include a plurality of neighboring cam shafts, each with at least one cam, arranged along the first direction, such that rotation of the cam shafts results in synchronized rotation of the cams to guide an incoming mail-piece. Rotation of the cam shafts may also urge a previously stacked mail-piece away from the cams, and into the sortation bin, in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.

Abstract: A sheet conveying device includes a discharging roller pair, a discharge sheet holding portion, and a stopper member. The discharging roller pair discharges the sheet member outside from a sheet discharge port by rotating in a forward rotational direction. The discharging roller pair includes a first conveying roller, and a roller member. The discharge sheet holding portion is for holding the sheet member discharged outside by the discharging roller pair. The stopper member is swingably supported on a rotational shaft of the first conveying roller. The stopper member allows the sheet member to be discharged to the discharge sheet holding portion when the discharging roller pair rotates in the forward rotational direction, and prevents the sheet member from intruding into the nip portion from the discharge sheet holding portion when the discharging roller pair rotates in the reverse rotational direction.

Abstract: The relay conveyance device includes a relay conveyance path, a plurality of conveyance members, at least one detection member and a control device. The control device executes a correction processing such that, in a state where a first sheet and a second sheet positioned at the upstream side from the first sheet are conveyed along the relay conveyance path, a sheet interval from a detection end of the first sheet by the detection member to a detection start of the second sheet by the detection member is compared with a predetermined target value, when the sheet interval is smaller than the target value, the conveyance speed of the conveyance member is decreased so as to widen the sheet interval, and when the sheet interval is larger than the target value, the conveyance speed of the conveyance member is increased so as to shorten the sheet interval.

As viewed in a widthwise direction perpendicular to a discharging direction of the sheet, the electrically discharging member is provided so as to extend through between rotational axes of the first and second rollers in the discharging direction of the sheet.

Abstract: Provided are a sheet stacking device, a counter ejector and a box making machine, wherein: a hopper unit stacks sheet-like cardboard boxes; feeding rolls feed a cardboard box to the hopper unit; and a guiding device is disposed between the feeding rolls and the hopper unit and includes a first guide part that extends in a horizontal direction and guides a lower surface of the cardboard box and a second guide part that extends in a vertical direction and guides a rear end of the cardboard box. Due to this configuration, the occurrence of damage to box making sheets in high-speed conveying of the box making sheets can be suppressed and the box making sheets can be appropriately stacked in a prescribed posture.

Abstract: There is provided a sheet post-processing device that has a first tray, outlet rollers, and a control section. The first tray holds sheets for post-processing with respect to the sheets supplied from an image forming device. The outlet rollers discharge the sheet to the first tray. The control section controls a rotational speed of the outlet rollers to be decelerated after a leading end portion of the sheet passes through the outlet rollers and before the leading end portion of the sheet comes into contact with the first tray.
