    摘要: A garden hose booster system includes a pump for pressurizing water, a motor connected to and designed to drive the pump, and a housing supporting the pump and the motor. The garden hose booster system further includes an inlet conduit, an outlet conduit, and a storage container. The inlet has a first garden hose coupling on an end thereof, and extends into the housing to direct the water to the pump. The outlet conduit has a second garden hose coupling on an end thereof, and extends out of the housing to direct the water from the pump. The storage container includes a bottom designed to be mounted to the top of the housing and a side wall extending upward from the bottom. The side wall and the bottom form an open volume within which a garden hose may be piled or coiled for storage thereof. The outlet conduit extends into the open volume of the storage container such that the garden hose stored in the storage container may be coupled to the second garden hose coupling and may receive a boosted water flow during operation of the garden hose booster system.

    摘要: A technique for storing cable slack in an automatic and safe manner, to allow a plug and play connectivity for fiber optic cable installation between floors in multi-floor high-rise apartment buildings. A tamper-proof storage box is located in a prescribed location for which its footprint is intended, such as a utility closet in a lobby or basement. The box contains a number of reels of cable (bundles of individual optical strands), each reel's contents designated for a different floor in the building. As pre-connectorized strands are pulled from a rotatable spindle mounted in the storage box to its intended floor, any cable excess (slack) remains automatically on the spindle in the storage box in an out-of-the-way location avoiding tampering and tripping. This allows off the shelf lengths of cable saving time and expense.

    摘要: The strap spool is mountable to drive shafts in various strap winding apparatus, such as winches and torsion spring counterbalances. The strap spool has a two piece design where two symmetrical spool halves slidably mate to form a drum around which the strap is wound. Each spool half has a central hub with an axial opening, which allows the spool halves to mount onto a drive shaft. An annular flange extending radially around the hub and a barrel sleeve extends from the hub perpendicular to the flange. When spool halves are mated together on a drive shaft, the barrel sleeves slidably extend into axial openings in the hub of the opposite spool half and form a tubular drum overlying the drive shaft around which the strap is wound.

    摘要: In a housing with a protective cover, two compartments for storing pre-cut wipe materials are arranged one above each other with only one outlet at a base of the machine housing. End strips of each of the stored pre-cut wipe materials are partially superposed and positioned between a plate of the protective cover and a flap for turning over and guiding the strip of material originating from the lower compartment. Manual extraction of one of the strips from the outlet of the machine automatically advances the other strip, and pieces of strip of material originating from the two compartments are alternately torn off which causes uninterrupted dispensing of the pre-cut wipe materials stored in each compartment.

    摘要: The cable dispensing system includes multiple parallel coils of flexible non-insulated cables separated by multiple parallel insulating discs. The insulating discs have hubs to which the inner portions of the coils are fixedly coupled. The insulating discs and coils are disposed within a housing, which is rotatably coupled to the multiple parallel insulating discs and fixedly coupled to each outer portion of the multiple coils. The cables comprising the coils are routed from the inner portions through tunnels, which extend through the insulating discs in paths parallel to the axis of the parallel insulating discs. When cords attached to the housing are extended, the coils become wound, creating an electrical short between adjacent loops of the spiral coil. The shorter conductive path reduces the amount of energy that is lost as heat.
