摘要: A mining machine includes a light source and a roof support guide for detecting the relative angular alignment between the mining machine and the roof support. The light source in the form of a laser on the mining machine, directed toward the roof support. The roof support guide is on the roof support above the mining machine, so that when the alignment between the mining machine and the roof support is as desired, light from the light source falls in a predetermined location relative to the roof support guide. When the mining machine is not in proper alignment with the roof support, the light source does not fall within the predetermined location relative to the roof support guide. When a mining machine operator detects that the light from the light source is not falling within the predetermined location relative to the roof support guide, the operator then adjusts the tilt of the mining machine using hydraulic jacks to cause the light from the light source to again fall within the predetermined location relative to the roof support guide.

摘要: According to a method for constructing a cover layer S on a planum M by using a paving screed B the elevation of the paving screed B above the planum M is measured using a reference RZ on the planum M by at least one elevation sensors H and/or the lateral inclination of the paving screed B with respect to the planum M is measured by at least one lateral inclination sensor N. Upon occurrence of a deviation from the target elevation pulling points P of pulling bars 6 of the paving screed B are displaced vertically at a road paver F by levelling cylinders Z. Each levelling cylinder Z is exclusively adjusted over an absolute stroke starting from a selected zero point NP. The absolute stroke is calculated from a measuring result of a reference measurement and by consideration of a construction ratio factor. A new adjustment position of the levelling cylinder Z resulting from the adjustment over the absolute stroke in a self-learning fashion automatically is selected as the new zero point NP for a subsequent regulation cycle.

Pockets in the front wall receive a toggle coupling for neighboring plough guide troughs, wherein the front wall, the guide strips, the guide beam, the pockets and a back wall comprising the slideway form a one-piece casting extending over the length of the plough guide trough.

摘要: The invention provides, in one embodiment, a detector for a miner comprising a gamma sensing element and a light sensing element coupled to the gamma sensing element. According to the embodiment, the detector is mounted on a rotary cutter of a boring-type continuous miner such that the gamma sensing element has a view of a geologic formation being mined. A mining control system is also provided, comprising a miner having at least two rotary cutters and a gamma detector on each of the at least two rotary cutters for receiving gamma emissions from a geologic formation. The mining control system also provides an accelerometer and a rate gyro, wherein the accelerometer and the rate gyro correlate the received gamma emissions with positions of the at least two rotary cutters, and a central module that utilizes the correlated readings to determine whether the cutters should be moved.

摘要: A longwall support in a mine that comprises a plurality of longwall support units. The longwall support units are supported relative to a conveyor by stays that comprise cylinder-piston units. A control system with data acquisition, data storage, and programming is used to adapt the distribution of the staying forces over the length of the longwall, the sum of the staying forces acting upon the length of the longwall (total staying force), and the distribution of the advance forces over the length of the longwall continuously to the desired position of the conveyor. As a result, it is possible to influence the total staying force by the number of the stays with respect to an adjustable maximum, or the total staying force by controlling the longitudinal forces of the individual stays, or the total staying force as a function of at least one of the end positions of the conveyor.

摘要: A continuous control system for a mining or tunnelling machine having a boom (12) with a motor driven cutting head (14) at one of its ends and a rotatable turret (20) at the other end, the control system comprising angular encoders (40, 44) for continuously measuring the angles of the boom (12) and of the turret (20) and a linear encoder (55) for continuously measuring the linear position of the cutting head (14), and further having pressure transducers (P.sub.1, P.sub.2, P.sub.3, P.sub.4) for continuously measuring the pressures of the various hydraulic cylinders or drives (41, 43) used to operate the boom (12) and the turret (20). It may also have a power transducer (57) for continuously measuring the power input to the motor (18) driving the cutting head (14) to control the RPM of the latter. The signals from the above various measurements are continuously processed by a computer (46) in accordance with a predetermined computer program and a controller (47) is provided which is responsive to the computer (46) and which continuously controls the various parameters so as to cut a preselected profile at a predetermined depth of cut and rate of advance.

摘要: Mine panel alignment is controlled by recording the electromagnetic phase modulation and/or signal attenuation between spaced distant transceivers in the panel and a transceiver on a cutting machine to measure the distance between the transceivers. Through trilateration, the position of the cutting machine with respect to the known fixed locations can be determined and adjustments made to the cutting machine functions to maintain desired panel alignment.

摘要: A guide for mineral winning machines is composed of assemblies secured to the mineral face side of a conveyor. The assemblies have angle plates secured to the side walls of the conveyor pans and structures, integral or otherwise, which provide spacers at least partly defining elongate upper and lower passages for accomodating a drive chain. Covers are detachably and pivotably mounted to the structures to close off the upper passage. The covers are provided with substantial flat upper surfaces which serves to support and guide a machine. An upper guide rail formed by ribs at the edges of the upper surfaces and a lower guide rail formed by webs or web plates on the structures serve to locate with guide means of a plough supported on the inclined walls of the angle plates and driven by the drive chain. Where the flat support surfaces are not needed, or otherwise in case of need, the covers can be removed or replaced by covers of different design. In the latter case the upper guide rail can still be established by the different covers.

摘要: A method of recovering particulate material from a seam of such material within the earth bounded above and below by different material which comprises the steps of positioning in mining relation to the seam a continuous mining machine having a power driven mechanism thereon for moving the machine through successive seam material cutting cycles which include an advancing movement along a mined entry within the seam in a direction toward the working face of the seam; illuminating portions of the space surrounding the continuous mining machine including portions of the working face disposed forwardly thereof and adjacent portions of the roof, floor and side walls of the mined entry rearwardly of the working face; establishing electromagnetic signals indicative of the appearance of the illuminated portions of the working face of the seam and the adjacent portions of the roof, floor and side walls; transmitting the established electromagnetic signals to a remote control station; converting at the remote control station the transmitted electromagnetic signals to a continuous picture of the appearance of at least a selected portion of the illuminated portions of the working face of the seam and the adjacent portions of the roof, floor and side walls; and controlling from the remote control station the cutting cycle of the continuous mining machine so that the material cut during a cycle is cut from the seam up to the different material defining the roof and down to the different material defining the floor based upon visually distinguishing between the material of the seam and the different material which forms the roof and floor by viewing the continuous picture provided at the remote control station and apparatus for carrying out the method.
