摘要: An exhaust silencer of a combustion engine, comprising a housing (1) that is to be connected to an exhaust pipe, through which housing the exhaust gases are arranged to be conducted and which comprises a reactive part (2) and an absorbing part (3) in the flow direction of the exhaust gases. The reactive part (2) is mainly hollow and comprises, at the inlet thereof, a first exhaust pipe (5) for feeding the exhaust gases to the reactive part (2) and, at its outlet, a second exhaust pipe (6) for directing the exhaust gases from the reactive part (2) to the absorbing part (3), both exhaust pipes (5, 6) being arranged so as to essentially extend inside the reactive part (2) of the housing. The absorbing part (3) comprises an absorbing filling element (7), which essentially fills the absorbing part (3) of the housing and, at the inlet of the absorbing part (3), is shaped so as to direct the exhaust gases to the space (8) between the filling element (7) and the inner lining of the housing (1).

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a duct having a simple structure and capable of suppressing occurrences of an intake noise and a dropping-out of an adsorbent, and to a process for producing the same capable of producing easily. The present duct (1) is one comprising a duct body (2) in tubular, and the duct body (2) is comprised of a nonwoven fabric in which an adsorbent (3) in at least one type among granular, powdery and fibrous is disposed as an intermediate layer. The duct body (2) is preferably composed of a first fiber layer (7) located on an inner circumferential side, a second fiber layer (8) located on an outer circumferential side, and the adsorbent (10) is disposed between the first fiber layer (7) and the second fiber layer (8).

摘要: The present invention relates to a muffler for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, including a housing having at least one absorption chamber which is filled with an absorbent material that has an absorbent effect for airborne sound, a straight-through pipe that carries exhaust gas during operation of the muffler and passes through the housing, and at least one blind pipe that is connected at one end laterally to the straight-through pipe and is sealed at the other end. The blind pipe has a wall that is acoustically transmissive for airborne sound in an area running in the absorption chamber.

摘要: There is disclosed a silencer for attenuating sound waves produced in a fluid that circulates through a fluid conveyer. The silencer comprises an expansion chamber that is in fluid communication with the fluid conveyer, and which carries sound waves there through; a sound wave dissipater provided with the expansion chamber and arranged to absorb sound waves traveling there through; a resonator operatively associated with the sound wave dissipater and constructed and arranged to cause attenuation and reflection of the sound waves back and forth towards the sound wave dissipater; the expansion chamber having a chamber: conveyer cross-sectional area ratio and chamber length characteristics allowing maximum transmission loss for a given frequency. The expansion chamber has an exit to allow fluid containing attenuated sound waves to escape therefrom.

摘要: In the silencer of the present invention, a cylindrical porous plate is provided on the outer circumferential side of a path forming component that forms a sound absorption path. The porous plate has a plurality of micro holes penetrating it in the thickness direction. By forming the plurality of micro holes on the outer circumferential side of the porous plate, sound generated by the air flowing along the sound absorption path is attenuated without any sound absorption material being used. The porous plate is formed from metal. As a result, there is no source for generating for dust and dirt such as sound absorption materials formed, for example, from connected foam resin and fiber. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce sound that is generated by the flow of air while also reducing the creation of dust and dirt.

摘要: A muffler includes three or more concentric pipes which convey exhaust gases from an input end of the muffler to an output end of the muffler. The exhaust gases reverse direction as they pass from a first pipe into a second pipe, and again as they pass from the second pipe into the third pipe. After the exhaust gases have reversed direction twice, they exit the muffler. Perforated portions of the three concentric pipes can be used to allow exhaust gases to pass from one pipe into another.
