摘要: A blower filter device (3) is connectable to a voltage supply unit (2) and includes a blower unit (5), a filter mount (14), an internal energy storage unit (7), an energy interface (9), a current limitation device (13), a sensor array (16, 17, 18) and a control device (6). The current limitation device is activated upon disconnecting the energy interface from the voltage supply unit. The activated current limitation device limits the intensity of a current from the energy interface to the internal energy storage device. Upon the voltage supply unit being connected to the energy storage device and a predefined deactivating event is detected, the control device deactivates the current limitation device. The deactivating event is based on a charging voltage of the internal energy storage unit and/or on a time period that has elapsed since the connection. A process is provided for operating such a blower filter device.

摘要: A surge protective circuit is connected between a single-phase AC power source and an apparatus that operates with electric power supplied from the AC power source to suppress an overvoltage applied from the AC power source to the apparatus. The surge protective circuit includes: a first constant-voltage device and a first discharge device connected in series between a first ground terminal and a non-ground-side terminal of the AC power source; and a second constant-voltage device and a second discharge device connected in series between a second ground terminal and a ground-side terminal of the AC power source. A midpoint between the first constant-voltage device and the first discharge device and a midpoint between the second constant-voltage device and the second discharge device are connected.

摘要: A surge suppression system provides surge protection both locally within the radio station building were the power plant and telecommunication equipment are located and remotely next to the radios and antennas located outside of the building on the communication tower. An external surge suppression unit provides a waterproof enclosure for both surge suppression devices and fiber optic connectors. A rack mountable surge suppression unit provides local in-line surge suppression protection for the electrical equipment located in the communication station. A unique surge suppression tray is hot swappable so that multiple surge suppression devices can be replaced at the same time without disrupting radio operation. Pluggable surge suppression modules can be used in both the external surge suppression unit and the rack mountable surge suppression unit.

When a plurality of SPDs are installed together, a juncture plug which detachably connects between juncture terminals within the adjacent SPDs is provided. The detection result of the degradation detecting unit within the plug is output to an outside through a third connection terminal within the plug, a first connection terminal and the juncture terminal within the jack and the juncture plug.

摘要: The invention relates to a circuit assembly for electronically actuating triggerable surge arresters, such as spark gaps, multi-electrode gas arresters, or similar means. At least one power semiconductor is activated by a switching stage upon detecting a surge event, and the output side of the power semiconductor is connected to a trigger input of the surge arrester. According to the invention, the switching stage is designed as a control and analysis unit for detecting transient surge events and has first a pulse detection stage which allows a detection of pulses in a level-sensitive or increase rate-dependent manner and second a microcontroller or similar means for evaluating events. The output side of the microcontroller leads to the control input of the power semiconductor, and a quick-switching rectifier is provided between the output of the power semiconductor and the trigger input of the surge arrester.
