    Abstract: A compound of the following Formula I is provided. In Formula I, A is C, B, Si, Ge, or Sn; each of X1 to X22 is independently C or N; Z1 and Z2 are each independently B or N; when A is B, one of X4, X5, X12, and X22 is N, and the remainder are C; when A is C, at least one of Z1 and Z2 is B; each of Y1, Y2, Y3, and Y4 is independently O, S, Se, NR, CRR′, SiRR′, GeRR′, and SnRR′; one of both of Y1 and Y2 are present; one of both of Y3 and Y4 are present; each R, R′, RA, RB, RC, RD, RE, and RF is independently hydrogen or a variety of substituents; and any two adjacent R, R′, RA, RB, RC, RD, RE, and RF can be joined or fused to form a ring. Devices, consumer products, and formulations including the compound are also disclosed.

    Abstract: A compound having a first ligand LA having the Formula: Formula I is disclosed, wherein rings A is a 5- or 6-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring; wherein RA and RB each independently represent mono to the possible maximum number of substitution, or no substitution; wherein Z1 is carbon or nitrogen; wherein each RA and RB is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, deuterium, halide, alkyl, cycloalkyl, heteroalkyl, arylalkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, amino, silyl, alkenyl, cycloalkenyl, heteroalkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, heteroaryl, acyl, carbonyl, carboxylic acids, ester, nitrile, isonitrile, sulfanyl, sulfinyl, sulfonyl, phosphino, and combinations thereof; wherein any two substituents are optionally joined or fused into a ring; wherein X1 to X4 each independently represent a carbon or nitrogen; wherein at least one of X1 to X4 is nitrogen; wherein the ligand LA is coordinated to a metal M; wherein the metal M can be coordinated to other ligands; and wherein the ligand LA is optionally linked with other ligands to comprise a tridentate, tetradentate, pentadentate or hexadentate ligand.

    Abstract: A compound including a first ligand LA of Formula I is disclosed. In the structure of Formula I, one of L1 and L2 is C, and the other is N; Y1 to Y14 are each C or N; at least two adjacent Y7, Y8, Y9, and Y10 are carbon atoms that are fused to a structure of Formula II Z1 and Z2 are each O, S, Se, NR, CRR′, or SiRR′; and each R, R′, RA, RB, RC, and RD is hydrogen or a substituent; and any two substituents may be joined or fused together to form a ring. In the compound, LA is complexed to a metal M by L1 and L2, and M has an atomic weight greater than 40. Organic light emitting devices and consumer products containing the compounds are also disclosed.

    Abstract: Devices and techniques are provided in which an OLED panel is operated in two modes. The first mode operates in a standard way to display an image or video or otherwise illuminate sub-pixels of the panel. In the second mode, some pixels are operated at a lower brightness than in the first mode. The use of multiple modes allows for improved sub-pixel lifetime and reduced sub-pixel and image degradation.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to OLED devices and stacks for OLED devices that include a symmetric emissive-layer architecture. In one embodiment, the present invention relates to an emissive stack having three layers, wherein the top and bottom layers emit light in the same or similar color region while the middle layer emits light in a different color region than the other two layers. In such an embodiment, the three layers are in contact with each other with no other layers in between. The symmetric emissive-layer architecture of the present invention can be used to improve the color stability of OLED devices.

    Abstract: A compound having a formula M(LA)(LB)(LC) is described. In formula M(LA)(LB)(LC), ligands LA and LB are each a mono-anionic bidentate ligand coordinated to metal M forming a 5-member cyclometalated ring and ligands LA and LB are covalently linked by a linking group. There is at least one loop of M-LA-linking group-LB-M having only arylene or heteroarylene groups in the loop other than M. In the compound, each ring in the linking group is part of a backbone of the loop; and either (i) the loop comprises a specific DBX moiety and the linking group comprises two or more arylene or heteroarylene groups, or (ii) the linking group comprises three or more arylene or heteroarylene groups. Formulations, OLEDs, and consumer product containing the compound are also disclosed.

    Abstract: A compound having a formula M(LA)(LB)(LC) is disclosed. Each of ligands LA and LB are mono-anionic bidentate ligands coordinated to metal M forming a 5-member cyclometalated ring. Ligands LA and LB are covalently linked by a first linking group, where there is at least one loop of M-LA-first linking group-LB-M having only carbocyclic or heterocyclic groups in the loop other than M.
