    Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and computer-readable mediums for wireless communication are provided. One apparatus is configured to receive at least one SA from at least one UE. The apparatus is further configured to determine an energy associated with each at least one SA. The apparatus is also configured to rank data transmission time-frequency resources based on the determined energy associated with said each received at least one SA. Each at least one SA are associated with a different subset of the data transmission time-frequency resources. The apparatus is further configured to select a set of data transmission time-frequency resources based on the ranked data transmission time-frequency resources and to send a data transmission on the selected set of data transmission time-frequency resources. Another apparatus is configured to partitioning time-frequency resources into different resource groups, to divide UEs into UE groups based on location, and map the UE groups to the resource groups.

    Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus may include a receiving UE that is configured to receive at least a portion of a message for a service group, measure a signal strength for the message received, and determine whether to send feedback based on the signal strength measured for the message.     Abstract: An improved manner of transmitting and receiving messages in V2X/V2V/D2D is presented in which a transmitting device determines a geographic location of the mobile transmitting device and generates a message for a service group having a group ID associated with the service group, the message comprising a first indication of a geographic area associated with the message, the geographic area based at least in part on the geographic location of the transmitting device. Then, the apparatus transmits the message to the service group, e.g., via V2X/V2V/D2D communication. A receiving device then determines its geographic location and determines whether to send a feedback for the message based on the first indication of the geographic area associated with the message and the geographic location of the receiving device.

    Abstract: Aspects directed towards a network-assisted sidelink scheduling operation are disclosed. In one example, a scheduled entity receives a grant of resources from a scheduling entity operating according to a legacy radio access technology (RAT), and translates the grant of resources from a legacy configuration of resources to a non-legacy configuration of resources. The scheduled entity then performs a sidelink communication via the non-legacy configuration of resources. In another example, a scheduling entity operating according to a legacy RAT transmits a system information block (SIB) to a scheduled entity indicating that the scheduling entity can allocate non-legacy resources. The scheduling entity then receives a request for resources from the scheduled entity that corresponds to a non-legacy sidelink communication, and provides a grant of resources to the scheduled entity that includes a non-legacy-specific frequency for transmitting the non-legacy sidelink communication.

    Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus communicates with a second apparatus, including transmitting or receiving a first transmission. The apparatus receives information about the second UE from a sensor at the first UE and/or from a BSM. The apparatus determines whether the first apparatus and the second apparatus are in a LOS condition based on a correlation of the information with one or more of a channel estimation, PMI feedback, or RI feedback. The apparatus may adapt a transmission parameter for a second transmission based on a predicted location of the first apparatus or the second apparatus. The transmission parameter may include at least one of a modulation, a code rate, a DMRS density, a precoder, a CSI-RS transmission periodicity or a feedback rate.
