The invention also relates to an encoding method applied by the described encoder and a corresponding decoding method applied by a decoder.

According to the invention, said method comprises, for a service accessible by means of a plurality of radio terminals forming an access network connected to the communication network: on reception of a request (20) for the configuration of the SAI parameter comprising a localisation indication of the radio terminal, a step of associating a geographical region with the radio terminal on the basis of said localisation indication; a step of dynamically allocating a pseudo value to the parameter, complying with the requirement of a single occurrence of the pseudo value in the geographical region; and on reception of a request for access to a service from said radio terminal, a step of converting the pseudo value into the possible value of selected parameter into an SAI parameter value selected from a list of possible values, defined by the communication network for the geographical region.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a passive optical network comprising an optical exchange linked by at least one optical fiber to at least one line termination device of said network, able to transmit a downlink optical signal phase-modulated in NRZ-DPSK format and to receive an uplink optical signal.According to the invention, said line termination device comprises means of converting the transmitted downlink optical signal phase-modulated in NRZ-DPSK format into an optical data signal amplitude-modulated in duobinary modulation format and means of generating an uplink optical signal phase-modulated in NRZ-DPSK format from the downlink optical signal phase-modulated in NRZ-DPSK format. The optical exchange is able to convert the uplink optical signal phase-modulated in NRZ-DPSK format into an optical data signal amplitude-modulated in duobinary modulation format.
Abstract:
The differential group delay is measured in an optical fiber connection for an optical signal undergoing a phase modulation BPSK or DPSK by a digital signal at a given rate. A polarization controller at an emerging end of the connection scans polarization states of the modulated optical signal. An emulator iteratively introduces an additional delay in the modulated optical signal emerging from the connection and combines the delayed modulated optical signal and the non delayed modulated optical signal which are both polarized along two orthogonal axes into a resulting optical signal. A polarization controller and a fixed polarizer select a polarization state in the resulting optical signal along one of bisecting lines of the orthogonal axes into a linearly polarized signal. An eye diagram or a spectrum of the polarized signal is acquired by a digital oscilloscope or an optical spectrum analyzer to determine the differential group delay.
Abstract:
A method is provided for managing a secure session for transporting user packets through an address translation device between a client terminal and a first transport session management server. The session uses a first packet transmission address and at least one second packet transmission address different from the first address. The method includes a step of obtaining, by the first sever, the at least one second packet transmission address from the at least one second transport session management server, so that the client terminal can transfer packets to the first server by using at least the two addresses.
Abstract:
An authentication server automatically selects one of plural authentications identified by authentication identifiers to authorize access by a user to a service dispensed by a service server of a provider identified by a provider identifier via a communication network. The server includes a module for selecting an authentication identifier in a memory as a function of the provider identifier and the type of the terminal and/or the network type of the communication network, and a module for authenticating the user by launching an authentication process associated with the authentication identifier.
Abstract:
By utilizing IMPS technology and transient objects or object identifiers, a method and system can notify registered participants of changes in the status of those transient objects. One use of such technology is in the area of on-line auctions, but other uses include the general area of distributed queuing for an item of interest (or a subject of interest) and dispatching to similarly interested users, through transitive presence, information concerning corresponding transactions or actions.
