Abstract:
A quick connector includes a connector body, a spring, a plurality of positioning balls, a push ring, a movable sleeve, a snap ring, and a locking structure. When a coupling is inserted into the connector body, the push ring is pushed the spring to press the positioning balls which press the coupling so that the coupling is locked onto the connector body. The movable sleeve is driven to return the push ring to release the coupling from the positioning balls. Thus, the movable sleeve is locked by the locking structure and cannot be moved any more so that the movable sleeve will not be driven inadvertently due to an external force and can press the positioning balls to lock the coupling so as to prevent the coupling from being detached from the connector body.
Abstract:
An emergency detachable pipe coupling configured to decouple a female coupling member and a male coupling member which are coupled together when an external force makes the male coupling member tilted at a predetermined angle relative to a female coupling member. When the male coupling member is tilted, a pressing surface of the male coupling member presses a to-be-pressed surface of a locking element restraining member of the female coupling member to displace the locking element restraining member to a release position where a locking element becomes displaceable to an unlocking position.
Abstract:
A male connector includes a shaft including a distal end portion and a proximal end portion. The shaft defines a lumen extending between the distal end portion and the proximal end portion. The distal end portion includes a sealing member that engages a female connector to create a fluid-tight seal when the distal end portion of the male connector is inside the female connector, a latch catch groove proximal to the sealing member, a grip extending from an outer surface of at least part of the shaft, and at least one lug extending distally from the grip partially along the outer surface of the shaft. The latch catch groove engages a latch of the female connector to retain the distal end portion of the male connector inside the female connector. The proximal end portion includes a barb that engages a section of tubing.
Abstract:
Provided is a hose connector that is protected from inadvertent disconnection, and permits any problem with the hose connection to be readily detected. The hose connector (10) includes a connector main body (12), and a lock member (14) fitted on the connector main body. When the lock member (14) is displaced to a locked position, an annular reduced diameter portion (42) of the lock member (14) approaches an annular enlarged diameter portion (24) of the connector main body (12) so that these two portions clamp the wall of the hose. The lock member (12) is held in the locked position by a second engagement portion (38) formed in the inner circumferential surface of the lock member (12) engaging the connector main body (12). When the lock member (14) placed in the locked position is subjected to a twisting force exceeding a prescribed value, a frangible part (49) provided between the second engagement portion (38) and the annular reduced diameter portion (42) fractures, but the connection of the hose is maintained because the second engagement portion supports the annular reduced diameter portion from the rear via the frangible part (49).
Abstract:
A tubular connector includes a first tubular member that includes a female end; a second tubular member including a male end insertable into the female end, each of the first and second tubular members including a bore that extends there through; a clamp positionable about the first and second tubular members to urge the male and female ends into sealing engagement; a housing that at least partially encloses the clamp such that a chamber is defined between the clamp and the housing; and a plate positionable between an axial end of the clamp and the housing.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a lockout device and system that can be attached directly to open piping undergoing maintenance or repair and that can be directly under the supervision of the individual that is performing the maintenance.
Abstract:
A leakage detection system configured to detect hydrocarbon leakage from an underwater pipeline in a body of water having a sensor configured to acquire signals related to the temperature of a liquid inside a chamber that is not watertight and which, in use, is full of water and extends along a portion of underwater pipeline susceptible to leakage, and a control unit, which is connected to the sensor and is configured to control if the temperature of the liquid in the chamber is within an expected range and emit a leakage signal when the temperature of the liquid in the chamber is outside the expected range.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a shut-off device comprising a plug intended to be placed over a threaded orifice of a casing, or to be removed therefrom, by screwing and unscrewing respectively, the plug comprising a central body bearing a screw thread, and locking and unlocking means that oppose the spontaneous unscrewing of the plug and that are activated automatically by the turning of the plug and its corresponding progression in the direction of screwing along a longitudinal axis. The locking and unlocking means comprise two releaseable coupling members, of which a first member is coupled to and turns with the central body via a protective skirt and of which a second member can be prevented from turning with respect to the casing during screwing.
Abstract:
A cam and groove coupling joint has a male coupling having a substantially tubular body that includes a pair of grooves in the body and a female coupling having a substantially tubular body that includes two pairs of lugs on the body and further includes pins that are supported by each pair of lugs. A pair of cam arms are pivotally mounted to the pins between the lugs. The cam arms are movable between an open position in which the male coupling is free to move relative to the female coupling and a closed position in which a cam of each cam arm engages the groove to lock the male coupling inside the female coupling. A rotatable wire clip secures the cam arms in the closed position, the wire clip being rotatably connected to each lug between a secured position in which the wire clip secures the cam arm to prevent opening of the cam arm and an unsecured position in which the cam arm is free to be opened.
Abstract:
An apparatus for unsealing a pipe in a pipe assembly is disclosed. The apparatus has a seal for minimizing leakage from the pipe and a spring attaching to both the seal and the pipe assembly. If the seal is to be removed, a spring force of the spring acts against and moves the seal for removal of the seal.
