Abstract: This disclosure is for a sliding connector pipe assembly. The assembly has a pipe defining an axis and configured to direct fluid flow, a sliding connector slidably positioned around an end portion of the pipe, the sliding connector being selectively slidable between an extended displacement and a retracted displacement relative to the pipe, and a locking mechanism that selectively prevents axial movement of the sliding connector from the extended displacement to the retracted displacement. The locking mechanism prevents the sliding member from transition from the extended displacement to the retracted displacement regardless of the rotational orientation of the sliding connector relative to the pipe about the axis.

Abstract: A method of ascertaining one or more connection states of fluid line quick connectors in a fluid line assembly is set forth. The method involves assembling the fluid line quick connectors in respective connection locations at the fluid line assembly, and involves furnishing unique identifiers, positional information, or both, of the fluid line quick connectors. The unique identifiers and/or positional information is employed in a determination of whether intended connections have indeed been properly made among the fluid line quick connectors and connection ends of the fluid line assembly. Data matrix scanning, radio-frequency (RF) signaling, or a combination of both technologies can provide the unique identifiers and/or positional information at varying times for the determination.

Abstract: An antistatic cover which, when the cover covers an insulating resin-made tube, can enhance the certainty of preventing the tube from being electrically charged, and can facilitate attachment to and detachment from the tube. Abstract: A male connector includes a shaft including a distal end portion and a proximal end portion. The shaft defines a lumen extending between the distal end portion and the proximal end portion. The distal end portion includes a sealing member that engages a female connector to create a fluid-tight seal when the distal end portion of the male connector is inside the female connector, a latch catch groove proximal to the sealing member, a grip extending from an outer surface of at least part of the shaft, and at least one lug extending distally from the grip partially along the outer surface of the shaft. The latch catch groove engages a latch of the female connector to retain the distal end portion of the male connector inside the female connector. The proximal end portion includes a barb that engages a section of tubing.

Abstract: An adapter device for use in a reprocessing device for reprocessing surgical instruments. The adapter device including: at least one first fluid attachment, on an inlet side for connection to a coupling device of the reprocessing device; at least one second fluid attachment, on an outlet side for connection to the surgical instrument, the at least one second fluid attachment being adapted geometrically to an attachment of the surgical instrument; and an adapter identification feature that is detectable by the reprocessing device. Also provided is a reprocessing system having a reprocessing device for reprocessing surgical instruments and having the adapter device. The reprocessing device including: the coupling device for connecting to the adapter device; and a detection device which detects, with the adapter device connected to the reprocessing device, the adapter identification feature of the adapter device.
