Abstract:
A method of optimizing bandwidth of a wireless link between a display device and an image data player. The display device is configured with one or more features that affect its bandwidth capacity. This configuration results in one or more “bandwidth reduction parameters”. The display device is programmed to communicate these parameters to the player via the wireless link, so that the player can deliver device-specific image data to the display device.
Abstract:
A system and method for controlling output quality based on the time interval that a button is engaged to initiate output is pressed. The system and method provide for an output quality of a first category when the button is engaged for a first time interval and initiates output quality of a second category when the button is engaged for a second time interval.
Abstract:
MFP 100A reads attribute information from an IC tag of a document related to IC tagged printed matter set on ADF 141 by means of IC tag reader 143A, displays modifiable attribute information on control unit 130, and receives an input of modification instruction. Next, it reads image data from an IC tag of the document by IC tag reader 143A and receives an instruction input on which of the attribute information and image data, either before or after the modification, is to be written on the IC tag of the IC tag printing paper. It prints the modified image data on the IC-tagged printing paper based on the attribute information after the modification by means of printing unit 151 and writes on the IC tag of the printing paper the attribute information and the image data, either before or after the modification, according to said instruction. This makes it possible to retain the attribute information and the original image data even after the printing on the IC tagged printing paper by modifying the attribute information of the document.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of visualizing a large still picture on a display having a size smaller than the large still picture, said method comprising the steps of dividing the large still picture into a set of pieces, said pieces having a size substantially equal to the display size; ranking the pieces of the large still picture according to a predetermined scanning order; and encoding the set of pieces using a predictive block-based compression technique according to said predetermined scanning order so as to obtain a video sequence.
Abstract:
In certain aspects, designating an attribute of at least one shared image at least partially with a designating shared image device that can be utilized to capture an image with at least one capturing shared image device. In other aspects, synchronizing a capturing shared image device to a sharing session in a manner that at least partially allows conveying between the capturing shared image device with at least another shared image device at least some shared images captured during the sharing session.
Abstract:
In a data transmission apparatus, an input unit inputs data, and a transmission unit transmits the inputted data to a destination. A discrimination unit discriminates an attribute of the inputted data, and a storage unit stores the inputted data to a predetermined memory. A control unit controls a transmission operation of the transmission unit in accordance with a discrimination result obtained by the discrimination unit, such that the transmission unit transmits to the destination the inputted data or information indicating a storage location used by the storage unit.
Abstract:
A data sending apparatus, on sending data to a receiving apparatus, searches its storage for a transmission method to the receiving apparatus. After sending data to the receiving apparatus, the sending apparatus receives from the receiving apparatus a transmission result including a transmission condition and capabilities of the receiving apparatus. When an error occurs during the data transmission, the sending apparatus reads the communication and processing capabilities of the receiving apparatus from the transmission result, and resends the data by a transmission method in accordance with the receiving apparatus. It then acquires the transmission result and stores the same in the storage.
Abstract:
A disclosed image formation apparatus includes: an operation unit allowing input of reading conditions of image data; an input unit reading the image data in accordance with the reading conditions input via the operation unit; a first storage unit storing the image data read by the input unit; a second storage unit storing correspondence relation between the reading conditions and predicted data amount of the image data to be stored in the first storage unit; a data amount prediction unit predicting data amount of the image data to be read based on the reading conditions and the correspondence relation stored in the second storage unit; and a judgment unit judging whether to perform reading of the image data based on the predicted data amount and an available capacity of the first storage unit.
Abstract:
An image forming device is disclosed that is able to easily deal with image data stored in plural image forming devices. The image forming device includes an image reading unit that reads image data; a storage unit that stores the image data read by the image reading unit; a printing unit that prints the image data; and an image information transmission unit that transmits at least attribute information of the image data to an information management device through a network, which manages at least the attribute information transmitted from the plural image forming devices.
