    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, on a sidelink, a groupcast communication and a unicast communication concurrently from a transmitter. The UE may determine a feedback sequence to be transmitted to indicate joint acknowledgment or negative acknowledgement feedback for the groupcast communication and the unicast communication based at least in part on a decoding of the groupcast communication. The UE may transmit the feedback sequence in one or more sidelink feedback resources associated with a sidelink subchannel via which at least one of the groupcast communication or the unicast communication is received. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for managing release of resource reservations for sidelink communications are provided. At least one resource reservation is determined from a resource pool having time-frequency resources allocated for sidelink communications with one or more user equipments. Control information that includes an indication of the at least one resource reservation and an indication of whether the at least one resource reservation is releasable is transmitted. A determination of whether to reclaim the at least one resource reservation is made, based on the control information. A set of resource reservations is selected from the resource pool for sidelink communications, based on the determination.

    Abstract: A sidelink device is capable of balancing latency and reliability while accounting for priority in sidelink based communication. A sidelink device determines an exclusion parameter for excluding communication resources for transmitting a data packet over a sidelink channel. The sidelink device selects, based on the exclusion parameter, communication resources for an initial transmission of the data packet in a first contention window (CW). The sidelink device transmits the data packet using the communication resources selected for the initial transmission in the first CW. The sidelink device selects, based on the exclusion parameter, communication resources for a retransmission for the data packet in a second CW after the first CW.     Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques of allocating time resources (or slots) based on a flexible pattern that allows allocation of a set of non-continuous time slots resources in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) system. In one example, the aggregation pattern may be indicated via a single downlink control information (DCI) message that carries explicit information regarding non-continuous time slot allocation. Features of the present disclosure may also include techniques to allow for early termination of transmission between the first node and the second node when the receiver (e.g., second node) successfully receives the data channel before the end of aggregated transmission. In such situation, the first node and the second node may cease transmission after reception of an acknowledgement (ACK) message that may allow the second node to utilize the subsequent time slots for communication with its own children on the next hop (e.g., third node).
