Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a base plate, for example, for a power module, including a matrix formed of metal, for example, aluminium, wherein at least two reinforcements are provided in the matrix next to each other, and wherein the reinforcements are spaced apart from each other.
Abstract:
A permanently installed manual trip mechanism is mounted internally to a circuit breaker with a user operated handle extending to the outside of the enclosure. The mechanism converts a relatively small operator input to larger spring charge. Upon triggering, the mechanism provides the required operating velocity of the circuit breaker during the opening stroke for load break operation.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a spherical cap for a high-voltage outgoing line, including an electrically conductive element, which is arranged hollow-cylindrically about a rotational axis and which merges into a hemispherical form at its first axial end. A connection device has a passage opening for electrically and mechanically connecting the element, to an electrical screening pipe. At least two insulation barriers are spaced apart from one another and respectively adapted to the form of the hollow-cylindrical element and enclose the latter at a respective first and second distance. The insulation barriers respectively have a pipe attachment connector for leading through a screening pipe to the connection device. The connection device has a first part for connection to a screening pipe and a second part connected to the conductive element and a connection adjustable in a force-locking manner is provided between the first and second parts.
Abstract:
Residue perturbation is used for enforcing passivity of a linear response model of an electrical component having n>1 ports. According to an exemplary embodiment, a modal perturbation approach can be used, which allows weighted perturbation of the individual modes by the inverse of the corresponding eigenvalues. This provides superior results if the admittance or impedance matrix of the device has a large eigenvalue spread.
Abstract:
A method for locating faults in three-terminal and multi-terminal power lines, applicable in electric power systems for overhead and underground cable transmission and distribution lines. The inventive method is characterized in that it measures current for fault and pre-fault conditions and in one terminal station of the system line phase voltage for fault and pre-fault conditions is measured, a hypothetical fault location is assumed, the distances to the hypothetical fault locations are calculated and fault resistance is calculated, the actual fault point is selected by first comparing the numerical values concerning the distances to the hypothetical fault locations and rejecting those results whose numerical values are negative or bigger than one in relative units, and then by analysing the values of the calculated fault resistances for the fault locations and rejecting those results of the calculations for which the value of fault resistance is negative, and if there is still more than one calculation result remains not rejected then performing selection of the valid result by analysing the values of the calculated respective equivalent source impedances.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a transformer that includes forming a disc-wound coil using a plurality of pre-formed cooling ducts. Each cooling duct may be supported by a support pipe secured between walls of the cooling duct, or by a removable insert. First and second conductor layers are formed, each of which include plurality of disc windings arranged in an axial direction of the disc-wound coil. A spacer layer is formed between the first and second conductor layers to form a plurality of axially-extending passages. The cooling ducts are slid into the axially-extending passages so as to be disposed between the first and second conductor layers.
Abstract:
In a multi-terminal HVDC power transmission network comprising at least three HVDC converter stations interconnected by at least two transmission lines, where at least one of the transmission lines is a long line, an active voltage source device is series connected to one of the transmission lines, which maintains the DC voltage of the transmission lines of the network to be within a predefined voltage range by injecting an additional DC voltage in series with the one transmission line.
Abstract:
A fastening device for an electric module is disclosed. The fastening device is adapted for fastening at least one electric conductor unit at an electric module and includes a screw nut compartment adapted to receive a screw nut. The screw nut compartment has an open first side for inserting at least one of the screw nut and a screw. A second side arranged opposite to the first side. The fastening device further includes a stiffening extension formed at the second side of the screw nut compartment, wherein the stiffening extension has a non-circular cross section.
Abstract:
A gas-insulated switchgear assembly is provided. The gas-insulated switchgear assembly includes at least one busbar which defines an axial direction. The busbar includes encapsulation which surrounds at least one nominal conductor. The encapsulation includes at least one pair of axially adjacent modules which are connected to one another via a compensation unit. The pair of modules are attached by at least one tie rod, which extends in the axial direction and is attached to a first attachment point of the first module and to the second attachment point of the second module. A thermal change in the length in the axial direction of the at least one tie rod between the first attachment point and the second attachment point, a thermal change in the axial direction in the distance between the first attachment point of the first module and the first reference point, and a thermal change in the axial direction in the distance between the second attachment point of the second module and the second reference point are at least partially compensated for such that the module distance changes by less than a predetermined amount in the axial direction when the encapsulation is heated or cooled.
