    Abstract: A toothbrush (100) having a combination of tapered and non-tapered cleaning elements (50) for enhanced cleaning effects and having a plurality of tapered bristle tufts of differing tuft configurations including, a first tapered bristle tuft (500) having a dome-shaped bristle tip profile (520) toward one end (210) of the head (200), a second tapered bristle tuft (602) having an arcuate-shaped bristle configuration (622) toward an opposite end (222) of the head (200), and a plurality of laterally-extending third tapered bristle tufts (600) arranged in an alternating fashion with non-tapered bristle tufts (630) and disposed between the first and second tapered bristle tufts (500, 602).

    Abstract: Methods for preparing high loading core shell silica (CSS) particles, or CSS particles having a relatively greater amount of surface active silicate groups than CSS particles prepared according to conventional methods is provided. The method may include contacting silica particles with a base having a first metal ion to produce core shell silica particles. Each of the core shell silica particles may include a silica core and a silicate of the first metal ion etched on a surface of the silica core. The method may also include contacting each of the core shell silica particles having the silicate of the first metal ion with an acidic aqueous solution including a metal salt having a second metal ion to produce core shell silica particles including the silica core and a silicate of the second metal ion on the surface of the silica core.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a deodorant dispenser refill cartridge, comprising: a container defining a chamber storing a fluid deodorant composition and having an opening through which the composition is dispensable from the chamber; and a seal sealing the opening. Also disclosed is a deodorant dispenser, comprising: a body having a cavity for receiving a first portion of the refill cartridge; a device within the cavity and extending along at least a portion of an edge region of the cavity for puncturing the seal of the refill cartridge as the first portion of the refill cartridge is received in the cavity of the body; and an applicator for applying the fluid deodorant composition to a user at an exterior of the dispenser.
