Abstract: In some embodiments, a device displays functionality information in response to receiving an indication of a first input for which a contact meets functionality display criteria. In some embodiments, a device generates a user interface that includes a navigation bar including images from different positions in a respective content item, and a representation of an adjacent content item. In some embodiments, a device moves a selection-indicator in a user interface by a predefined amount in response to receiving an indication of a first input that meets unitary movement criteria. In some embodiments, a device interprets movement of a contact of an input based at least in part on a grip of a user. In some embodiments, a device displays a plurality of character selection options when a text entry field is not tolerant of character ambiguity and a first input corresponds to a plurality of candidate characters.

Abstract: Devices, methods, and machine-readable media to facilitate intuitive comparison and selection of calculated navigation routes are disclosed. An electronic device for navigation includes a touch-sensitive screen and a processing module for displaying a map, calculating a number or navigation routes simultaneously on the touch-sensitive screen, and receiving a selection of a route. Callouts, or markers for presenting key information about each route, are also displayed discretely on the map. Navigation tiles including key route information and route pictorials can also be created and displayed for each calculated route.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a device determines a current context of a plurality of terms, in accordance with a determination that the current context is a first context, selects one or more terms in the plurality of terms based on a first word list as actionable terms, and in accordance with a determination that the current context is a second context, different from the first context, selects one or more terms in the plurality of terms as actionable terms based on a second word list, different from the first word list. In some embodiments, the device displays the plurality of terms, wherein one or more of the actionable terms are visually distinguished from other terms. In some embodiments, a device obtains related content associated with the actionable terms, and after obtaining the related content, concurrently displays a representation of the related content along with the plurality of terms.

Abstract: Systems and methods for a media content system. A media content provider includes storage for storing and serving video content to subscribers. The media content provider records and or otherwise stores video content from around the world. The system includes display devices configured to identify and tailor content to multiple individual users. Each user may have individual settings which provide for a customized viewing environment and experience. The system is configured to identify users of the system in order to tailor the content as appropriate. In addition, identification of users allows for the identification of the subscription content that corresponds to the user. Based upon identification of a user and corresponding subscription, the user's subscription content may be streamed to any location. In this manner, the users subscribed content may follow the user from home to a friend's house, or elsewhere.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a novel prediction engine that (1) can formulate predictions about current or future destinations and/or routes to such destinations for a user, and (2) can relay information to the user about these predictions. In some embodiments, this engine includes a machine-learning engine that facilitates the formulation of predicted future destinations and/or future routes to destinations based on stored, user-specific data. The user-specific data is different in different embodiments. In some embodiments, the stored, user-specific data includes data about any combination of the following: (1) previous destinations traveled to by the user, (2) previous routes taken by the user, (3) locations of calendared events in the user's calendar, (4) locations of events for which the user has electronic tickets, and (5) addresses parsed from recent e-mails and/or messages sent to the user. In some embodiments, the prediction engine only relies on user-specific data stored on the device on which this engine executes. Alternatively, in other embodiments, it relies only on user-specific data stored outside of the device by external devices/servers. In still other embodiments, the prediction engine relies on user-specific data stored both by the device and by other devices/servers.

Abstract: In some implementations, documents can be presented on a display of a computing device based on a context of the computing device. The context can include a current time and/or current location associated with the computing device. The documents can be presented based on a time and/or location associated with the documents. Documents can be downloaded and shared between devices. Documents can be dynamically updated based on document vendor provided information and/or other network based resources. In some implementations, the various graphical interfaces described herein provide access to a variety of document types in an organized and efficient manner.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a display, one or more processors, and memory storing one or more programs configured to be executed by the one or more processors. The one or more programs may include instructions for displaying a live video communication user interface that includes concurrently displaying representations of a first, second, and third participant in the live communication session. While displaying the live video communication user interface, the one or more programs may also include instructions for include receiving data indicating that an activity level of the second participant has increased above the activity level of the first participant. Further, in response to receiving the data, the one or more programs may further include instructions for changing a size and/or position of the representations of the first, second, and third participants.
