    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to procedures for supporting conditional new radio (NR) secondary node (SN) addition and change by using conditional handover (CHO) procedures. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a master node (MN), configuration information, identifying a set of candidate cells for a conditional addition or change of a SN for a the UE based on execution criteria, detecting the execution criteria is met for one of the candidate cells, and taking action to add or change to the candidate cell as an SN based on the detection.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for discontinuous transmission and/or discontinuous reception in time division duplex (TDD) systems that may have data transmission formats dynamically reconfigured. An initial uplink-downlink (UL-DL) configuration for TDD communication between an eNB and user equipment (UE) may be established. This initial UL-DL configuration may be reconfigured to a different UL-DL configuration for one or more UEs in communication with the eNB. When a UE switches to discontinuous reception (DRX) mode, it may monitor control information from the eNB during DRX on periods, a frequency of the DRX on periods based on a reference UL-DL configuration irrespective of any reconfiguration of UL-DL configuration for a particular UE. In some aspects, a UE that is operating in a UL-DL reconfiguration mode may, upon entering DRX mode, autonomously discontinue operating in the UL-DL reconfiguration mode.

    Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE determines whether the UE is located within a sub-region of an MBSFN area based on one or more parameters. The UE receives based on the determination a service over broadcast in the sub-region of the MBSFN area or over unicast outside the sub-region. In an aspect, the MBSFN area may be smaller than a unicast area. In an aspect, adaptive retransmission with a group NACK approach may be used to improve an SNR and reliability.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for user equipment (UE) camping in a virtual cell. A UE may camp in a virtual cell and may be in an idle mode or an inactive mode in the virtual cell. The UE may transition out of the idle or inactive mode and switch from camping in the virtual cell to connecting to a physical cell encompassed by the virtual cell through reselection, redirection, and handover procedures. The virtual cell may include a central unit and multiple distributed units, which may be configured in various physical implementations. Additionally, the virtual cell may be limited to broadcast only or selective unicast signaling.

    Abstract: Described techniques provide for low latency transmission time interval (TTI) transmissions that may have reduced likelihood of experiencing interference from one or more neighboring transmitters. A base station may configure two or more sets of resources for two or more sets of wireless transmissions, in which low latency transmissions may be transmitted in a set of wireless transmissions using all or a portion of one of the sets of resources. The set of resources available for the low latency transmissions may be associated with a set of power parameters that provide reduced transmission powers relative to one or more of the other sets of resources. The two or more sets of resources may include one or more sub-bands of available frequency resources, one or more subsets of time resources, or combinations thereof. In some cases, neighboring base stations may coordinate sets of resources that have reduced power parameters.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for on-demand multicast control channel (MCCH) messages are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, system information indicating an MCCH message configuration. Based on receiving the MCCH message configuration, the UE may transmit a request for an MCCH message. For example, the UE may transmit the request for the MCCH message by a random access preamble or a radio resource control (RRC) message. After transmitting the request, the UE may receive the MCCH message in accordance with the MCCH message configuration. That is, the base station may receive the request and transmit the MCCH message in response to the request. The MCCH message may indicate a multicast service radio bearer (MRB) configuration for receiving multicast traffic. Thus, the UE may receive multicast traffic from the base station in accordance with the MRB configuration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a master node (MN) may determine to reconfigure a user equipment (UE) from an existing configuration to a full configuration for a dual connectivity (DC) mode. To perform the reconfiguration, the MN may transmit a signal (e.g., a modification request message) indicating the full configuration to a secondary node (SN). The SN may identify the full configuration reconfiguration triggered at the MN based on the signal. The SN may transmit an acknowledgment message to the MN including a secondary cell group (SCG) configuration for the SN complying with the full configuration. The MN may indicate this SCG configuration as part of the full configuration to the UE (e.g., in a radio resource control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message). The UE may perform a reconfiguration process and communicate with the MN and the SN according to the full configuration.
