    Abstract: A separator arrangement including a tubular member extending along a longitudinal axis and a toroidal blade arrangement disposed within the tubular member in a fixed position. The toroidal blade arrangement can include a plurality of blade members, each being looped from a first end to a second end with a radially distal portion located between the first and second ends to define a radially bounded passageway extending along a second axis disposed at an oblique angle to the longitudinal axis. In one aspect, each of the blade members is looped such that an inner side surface presents both a leading face and a trailing face.

    Abstract: The technology disclosed herein relates to a vent assembly having a vent housing that defines a first airflow pathway, a second airflow pathway, and a third airflow pathway. The first airflow pathway is configured for fluid communication with an interior of an enclosure. The second airflow pathway is configured for fluid communication with the external environment, and the third airflow pathway extends between the first airflow pathway and the second airflow pathway. A membrane is coupled to the vent housing such that the second airflow pathway and the third airflow pathway are in communication through the membrane. Coalescing filter media is disposed within the vent housing such that the third airflow pathway and the first airflow pathway are in communication through the coalescing filter media. The vent assembly defines a spacing region between the coalescing media and the membrane.

    Abstract: Porous ePTFE articles coated with a hydrophilic coating are provided. The coating may be modified by covalent modifications to the PVOH coating. Covalent modifications may include small molecule grafting, polymer grafting to or from the PVOH backbone, crosslinking of the polymer via thermal or photochemistry, and the like, and combinations thereof. A second polymer coating may be applied onto the PVOH coating. The second polymer may be added, for example, by using a saturation coating technique such as dip coating or spray coating to saturate a PVOH coated ePTFE substrate with a second polymer carried by a fluid. Application of the second polymer may form a second conformal coating over the first PVOH coating.

    Abstract: Aspects herein include monitoring devices for filtration systems. An embodiment of the monitoring device can include a first fluid conduit and a first pressure sensor, wherein the first pressure sensor is in fluid communication with the first fluid conduit. The monitoring device can also include a second fluid conduit and a second pressure sensor, wherein the second pressure sensor is in fluid communication with the second fluid conduit. The monitoring device can also include a control circuit in electronic communication with the first pressure sensor and the second pressure sensor. The monitoring device can also include a housing, wherein the first pressure sensor, the second pressure sensor and the control circuit are all disposed within the housing.     Abstract: A method for preparing an adsorptive media for binding biologic molecules comprising immersing a macroporous support in a first solution of a coupling reagent in a solvent solution for attachment of said coupling reagent to form coupling groups; and, immersing said macroporous support in an incubating solution selected from the group consisting of ligand, nucleotide, oligonucleotide, peptide, polypeptide, protein, and enzyme solutions having an affinity to a biologic target molecule to couple one of said ligands, nucleotides, oligonucleotides, peptides, polypeptides, proteins, and enzymes to at least a portion of said coupling groups of said macroporous support for binding with said biologic target molecule when exposed to said macroporous support.
