Abstract: A valve assembly includes a valve body. The valve body includes a valve seat. The valve seat defines a bore therethrough. The valve body also includes a pair of end members connected to the valve body at opposing sides of the valve body. Each of the pair of end members includes a trunnion. The valve assembly further includes a valve shaft received in the trunnion of each of the pair of end members. The valve assembly includes a valve plate connected to the valve shaft. The valve plate is rotatable between a first position and a second position. The valve plate is adjacent to the valve seat when the valve assembly is in the first position.

Abstract: An exhaust device includes a housing, first and second pipes, and a spacer. The first and second pipes are at least partially disposed within the housing. The first and second pipes include respective first and second surfaces. A portion of the second pipe is disposed inside the first pipe. The first and second surfaces cooperate to define an annular volume into which the spacer is disposed to prevent direct communication between the first and second pipes. One of the first and second pipes is fluidly connected to an exhaust gas inlet. The other of the first and second pipes is fluidly connected to an exhaust gas outlet. One of the first and second surfaces defines a radial indentation. The other of the first and second surfaces defines a radial protrusion. The spacer is disposed at least partially within the radial indentation and is in direct communication with the radial protrusion.

Abstract: An electronic device and a method for determining whether a vehicle suspension system has degraded by positioning the electronic device in a vehicle includes activating a camera to initiate data capture within the electronic device. The camera is positioned to capture a change in a field of view during vehicle operation. The method includes calculating a vehicle suspension operating characteristic based on information captured by the camera and determining whether the calculated vehicle suspension operating characteristic exceeds a threshold. A signal indicative of suspension degradation is output when the threshold is exceeded.

Abstract: An aftertreatment system may include an exhaust gas passageway and a mixer assembly. The exhaust gas passageway may receive exhaust gas from an engine. The mixer assembly is disposed within the exhaust gas passageway and may include an upstream baffle, a downstream baffle, and a tube extending between and connected to the upstream and downstream baffles. The tube may include an inner surface defining a first flow path through the mixer assembly. The upstream and downstream baffles may be attached to each other, the tube and the exhaust gas passageway. The upstream and downstream baffles may cooperate to define a second flow path through the mixer assembly. The second flow path may extend in a rotational direction around an outer surface of the tube.

Abstract: An exhaust hanger assembly for a vehicle includes a bracket, a clip, and a rod. The bracket includes a peripheral wall having a non-circular cross section. The clip is disposed around at least a portion of an outer surface of the bracket and fixed to the bracket. The clip includes opposing apertures. The rod, which is configured to be fixed to a body of the vehicle, extends through the opposing apertures of the clip and is fixed to the clip. The rod is disposed within the first and second receivers of the bracket.

Abstract: A damper system may include an electrically adjustable hydraulic shock absorber having an electromechanical valve and a damper controller. The damper controller may include a solenoid driver circuit electrically coupled to the electromechanical valve, and disposed at the shock absorber. The solenoid driver circuit may be operable to drive the electromechanical valve in an open state in which hydraulic fluid flows between a pressure tube and a reserve tube. The solenoid driver circuit may include a plurality of transistors that are operable to generate a first current to place the electromechanical valve in the open state and a second current less than the first current to hold the electromechanical valve in the open state.

Abstract: An exhaust aftertreatment system includes a pump configured to circulate a reagent, an injector configured to deliver the reagent into an exhaust stream, a sensor configured to (i) measure an operating parameter of the aftertreatment system and (ii) output a signal that indicates a value of the measured operating parameter, and a control module configured to control the injector based on the signal outputted by the sensor. The control module further includes an injector control module configured to receive an injector flow control signal, determine a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal based on at least the injector flow control signal, and generate an injector control signal that controls actuation of the injector based on at least the correction coefficient and the PWM signal.

Abstract: A vehicle chassis control system may include a target calculation module, brake control module, suspension control module, and tire pressure control module. The target calculation module calculates a target brake torque, a target vertical force, and a target tire pressure associated with the wheel of a vehicle. The brake control module adjusts brake torque applied to the wheel based on a comparison of the target brake torque and an estimated current brake torque. The suspension control module adjusts vertical force applied to the wheel based on a comparison of the target vertical force and an estimated current vertical force. The tire pressure control module adjusts tire pressure in the wheel based on a comparison of the target tire pressure and a measured tire pressure.

Abstract: A mixer assembly for mixing an injected reductant with an exhaust gas output from a combustion engine comprises a mixer housing including a wall defining an exhaust passageway having a longitudinal axis. A tubular swirling device housing extends along a first axis substantially transverse to the longitudinal axis. The tubular swirling device includes a plurality of openings through which exhaust gas enters. The exhaust gas within the tubular swirling device swirls about the first axis and exits at an outlet end of the tubular swirling device. A mixing plate is positioned immediately downstream of the tubular swirling device. The mixing plate swirls the exhaust about a second axis extending parallel to the longitudinal axis.
