Abstract:
Stiff and soft materials each provide certain advantages when used in the manufacture of separable insulated connectors, such as elbow and T-body connectors. Utilizing a shell or an insert that includes one section made from a stiff material and one section made from a soft material can provide a separable insulated connector that capitalizes on the advantages associated with both types of materials. The stiff materials and soft materials can be placed strategically on the shell or insert of the separable insulated connector to maximize the advantages of each material. For example, the stiff material can be used to form a section of the separable insulated connector where strength and durability is most desirable, and conversely, the soft material can be used to form a section of the connector where flexibility is desirable. A relatively stiff band can be provided around a relatively soft portion of a connector.

An optical wall wash system including at least one module comprised of a 2 by 2 array of fixed elements, each element including a reflector and a refractor; a fixture, including light emitting diodes (LEDs) affixed thereto, for securing the at least one module, wherein there is a 1:1 correspondence between elements and LEDs and the fixture is rotated a first angular amount from nadir and towards a wall. Each of the elements within the at least one module is further oriented a different angular amount in relation to its underlying LED from each other element within the at least one module.
Abstract:
At least two communications cards are utilized to communicate with at least two Ethernet ports, each having unique MAC and IP addresses, and at least two different protocols. At least two central processing units (CPUs) are coupled to the at least two communications cards through a manageable Ethernet switch. One of the at least two CPUs is a primary (main) CPU and is capable of communicating using a limited number of native Ethernet protocols. Another one or more of the at least two CPUs is dedicated to performing conversion of additional, more complicated protocols to be sent to the primary CPU in at least one of its native Ethernet protocols. This off-loads the primary CPU from having to handle these additional, complicated protocols, thereby reducing the amount of protocol software/firmware required to be integrated with the primary CPU with a subsequent savings in boot-up time and background software overhead.
Abstract:
A universal-voltage discrete input circuit uses a high voltage depletion-mode field effect transistor in combination with a low-voltage, adjustable precision shunt regulator and an isolation circuit for interfacing a low voltage digital logic circuit to a switched external voltage ranging from about 7 volts to about 1000 volts AC or +/−DC, at a low fixed current. In addition to the wide input voltage range accepted at a uniform low current value, very high voltage isolation is provided between the external voltage and the low voltage digital logic circuit, and elimination of ground loops and common mode noise.

An assembly includes an electrically conductive mounting bracket, a current limiting device electrically connected to the mounting bracket, and a fuse assembly that includes a body and a fuse. The electrically conductive mounting bracket is configured to mount about the body of the fuse assembly, and, when the electrically conductive mounting bracket is mounted about the body of the fuse assembly, the mounting bracket forms a path for electrical current between the current limiting device and the fuse.
Abstract:
A light fixture includes an elongated channel and one or more lamp socket assemblies. The lamp socket assemblies include at least one lamp socket and a removable row aligner device. The row aligner device is separated from the lamp socket assembly and one side of the row aligner device is positioned in the base of the channel. A second light fixture slidably receives a second side of the row aligner device to provide a properly aligned row of two light fixtures. The lamp socket assemblies include pivot tabs that extend through and pivot within apertures of the channel. The pivot tabs allow the socket track assemblies to rotate from a shipping position where the lamps sockets are housed within the channel to an operational position where the lamp sockets are positioned upright for receiving lamps.
