The opportunistic forwarding method for a content-based information centric network in a delay tolerant network environment having a processor and a memory includes when a first node contacts a second node, updating a first delivery predictability and a second delivery predictability of the first node based on contact record information between the first node and the second node and data that the second node has, updating a first message of the first node by comparing the first message including first interest information and first data that the first node has with a second message including second interest information and second data that the second node has, and delivering the first message of the first node to the second node based on the first and second delivery predictabilities of the first node.

According to still another aspect of the present disclosure, a method for forming a quantum dot pattern includes: forming a quantum dot layer on a substrate by coating the substrate with a solution including quantum dots and a photo cross-linker containing two or more azide groups; placing a mask having a pattern on the quantum dot layer and performing UV exposure on the quantum dot layer; and forming a quantum dot pattern by removing a non-exposed region of the quantum dot layer.

Abstract: A method for an energy-aware selective compression scheme (EASCS) for solar-powered wireless sensor networks is provided. The method includes calculating an amount of residual energy of a battery in each of sensor nodes in a wireless sensor network, selecting one operation mode between a compression mode and a latency mode in reply to the amount of the residual energy, wherein the compression mode is a mode that data is compressed and transmitted, and the latency mode is a mode that the data is transmitted without compression, and compressing and transmitting the data if the compression mode in the each of the sensor nodes is selected, or transmitting the data without compression if the latency mode in the each of the sensor nodes is selected.Accordingly, end-to-end latencies of sensor networks can be reduced while blackout times thereof do not increase by implementing energy optimization in the wireless sensor network.

Abstract: An apparatus for an electrochemical discharge machining process is provided. The apparatus includes a holder housing having, an inlet hole, an outlet hole, a first side, and a second side, and containing an electrolyte, a tool holder disposed at the first side, and a first electrode having a first end and a second end. The holder housing is configured to sealingly accommodate the electrolyte unless at least one of the inlet hole and the outlet hole is open. The first end is coupled to the tool holder and the second end passes through the second side. Since the apparatus is moved to a machining position of the work-piece by a worker, additional power for controlling the position thereof is not necessary. In addition, the apparatus is easy to carry and use because of its simple structure.
