    Abstract: A combustion analyzer configured to simultaneously detect the concentrations of oxygen, carbon monoxide and methane in a combustion process is provided. The combustion analyzer includes an oxygen sensor configured to detect the oxygen in the combustion process and generate a sensor signal indicative of the concentration of oxygen in the combustion process. The combustion analyzer further includes a dual carbon monoxide-methane sensor configured to operate at approximately 400° C. and provide a second sensor signal indicative of methane concentration and at approximately 300° C. to selectively provide a third sensor signal indicative of carbon monoxide concentration. The combustion analyzer finally includes a controller configured to receive the sensor signals, determine the concentration of oxygen, and generate a carbon monoxide concentration output and methane concentration output based on the dual carbon monoxide-methane sensor signals and the concentration of oxygen.

    Abstract: An industrial transmitter assembly includes an industrial transmitter and a transmitter mount. The transmitter includes electronics contained in a housing. The transmitter mount is configured to attach the housing to a structure and includes a stem member, an adaptor and a locking member. The stem member includes a first end connected to the housing of the transmitter, and a second end having a flange or a first twist-lock connector. The adaptor is configured for attachment to the structure and includes a base member having a slot configured to receive the flange or a second twist-lock connector configured to attach to the first twist-lock connector. The locking member is configured to secure the second end of the stem to the base member.

    Abstract: A pressure capsule/header assembly for a process fluid pressure transmitter is provided. An isolator plug has an isolation diaphragm at a first end thereof and a second end spaced from the first end. The isolator plug has a fill fluid passageway fluidically coupling the first end to the second end. A header has a first end configured to carry a pressure sensor and a second end spaced from the first end. The header has at least one electrical interconnect extending from the first end to the second end. A biaxial support ring is disposed about an outer surface of the header. The biaxial support ring and the header define a tapered interference interface therebetween. The header is welded to the isolator plug at a first weld and the biaxial support ring is welded to the isolator plug at a location that is spaced from the second end of the header.

    Abstract: A process transmitter includes a process variable sensor, a test circuit, a switch and a controller. The process variable sensor includes a sensor output that is indicative of a sensed process variable. The test circuit is configured to detect a condition of the process variable sensor. The switch is configured to selectively connect the test circuit to the process variable sensor and disconnect the test circuit from the process variable sensor. The controller is configured to obtain a measurement of the process variable, control the switch, detect a condition of the process variable sensor by comparing the sensor output when the test circuit is connected to the process variable sensor to the sensor output when the test circuit is disconnected from the process variable sensor, and communicate the condition in the measurement to an external control unit.

    Abstract: A field device assembly includes an industrial process field device, a flange and a sealing and electrically insulating system. The field device includes a pressure sensor and a housing containing the active component. The housing includes a base having a base interface, which includes a first base process opening. The flange is attached to the base of the housing and includes a coplanar interface having a first flange process opening. The sealing and electrically insulating system includes a gasket that includes a dielectric material. A first process opening in the gasket is aligned with the first base process opening and the first flange process opening. A first surface of the gasket engages the base interface, and a second surface of the gasket that is opposite the first surface engages the coplanar interface. The gasket electrically insulates the housing of the field device from the flange.

    Abstract: A transmitter for measuring a process pressure includes a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor providing an input temperature signal. A first remote pressure sensitive diaphragm couples to the transmitter by a first capillary tube filled with a fill fluid having a density as a function of fill fluid temperature. An input circuit is operably connected to at least the pressure sensor and provides an intermediate pressure signal at least roughly representative of the process pressure. A correcting circuit is coupled to the temperature sensor and to the input circuit. The correcting circuit processes the intermediate pressure signal by compensating for the fill fluid density as a function of the temperature and provides a compensated output more closely representative of the process pressure. The correction circuit further performs an initial height determination based upon a pressure measurement made while no pressure is applied to the first diaphragm.

    Abstract: A colorimetric analyzer includes a reaction chamber configured to receive a sample and at least one reagent. A measurement cell is operably coupled to the reaction chamber. The measurement cell has an illumination source and an illumination detector spaced from the illumination source such that illumination from the illumination source passes through the measurement cell to the illumination detector. A controller is coupled to the illumination source and the illumination detector. The controller is configured to determine an absorbance of a reducing reagent and store the determined reagent absorbance in the analyzer. The controller is configured to use the determined reagent absorbance to compensate at least one subsequent colorimetric sample measurement.
