Abstract:
People are counted in a segment of video with a video processing system that is configured with a first set of parameters. This produces a first output. Based on this first output, a second set of parameters is chosen. People are then counted in the segment of video using the second set of parameters. This produces a second output. People are counted with a video played forward. People are counted with a video played backwards. The results of these two counts are reconciled to produce a more accurate people count.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for storing and managing large numbers of small files. A data processing system includes clients that generate large numbers be stored on a storage device managed by a File System (FS). An Archive Server (AS) receives multiple files from the client, archives the files in larger archives, and sends the archives to the FS for storage. When requested to read a file, the AS retrieves the archive in which the file is stored, extracts the file and sends it to the requesting client. In other words, the AS communicates with the clients in individual file units, and with the storage device in archive units. The AS is typically constructed as an add-on layer on top of a conventional FS, which enables the FS to handle small files efficiently without modification.
Abstract:
A system, including both an OLTP database and a warehouse database, that is configured to manage the coordination between the OLTP database and the warehouse database. An aspect relates to a combined OLTP and warehouse database which manages duplicate copies, in both the OLTP database and the warehouse database, of data expected to have a relatively high update and query rate. Data which has a low update and query rate is removed from the OLTP database, such that it remains only in the warehouse database. Updates of the duplicate copy data are performed in the OLTP. Periodically, for example every several minutes, data recently changed in the OLTP database is copied to the warehouse database. Queries are optionally primarily handled by the warehouse database, and are supplemented, when necessary, by data from the OLTP database.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for analyzing network traffic. An analysis system receives network traffic, which complies with a certain protocol. The received network traffic carries a data item, which may be of value to an analyst. In order to access the data item in question, the analysis system automatically identifies the media type of the data item, by processing the network traffic irrespective of the protocol. The analysis system identifies the media type irrespective of the protocol in order to avoid the computational complexity involved in decoding the protocol.
Abstract:
Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for matching trajectories across disjointed video views. In a particular embodiment, a method provides identifying a first trajectory associated with an object in video captured of a first region. The method further provides identifying a plurality of alternative views of the object from the video of the first region. The method further provides generating additional views for inclusion in the plurality of alternative views by copying and horizontally flipping at least one view of the plurality of alternative views. The method further provides using the plurality of alternative views of the object, selecting a second trajectory that corresponds to the first trajectory from a plurality of trajectories associated with a plurality of objects in video captured of a second region.
Abstract:
A faster and more streamlined system for providing summary and analysis of large amounts of communication data is described. System and methods are disclosed that employ an ontology to automatically summarize communication data and present the summary to the user in a form that does not require the user to listen to the communication data. In one embodiment, the summary is presented as written snippets, or short fragments, of relevant communication data that capture the meaning of the data relating to a search performed by the user. Such snippets may be based on theme and meaning unit identification.
Abstract:
Systems and methods of script identification in audio data obtained from audio data. The audio data is segmented into a plurality of utterances. A script model representative of a script text is obtained. The plurality of utterances are decoded with the script model. A determination is made if the script text occurred in the audio data.
Abstract:
Systems and methods of automated adaptation of a language model for transcription of audio data include obtaining audio data. The audio data is transcribed with a language model to produce a plurality of audio file transcriptions. A quality of the plurality of audio file transcriptions is evaluated. At least one best transcription from a plurality of audio file transcriptions is selected based upon the evaluated quality. Statistics are calculated from the selected at least one best transcription from the plurality of audio file transcriptions. The language model is modified from the calculated statistics.
Abstract:
A malware detection system analyzes communication traffic to and/or from a certain host. The malware detection system uses the mismatch between host name and IP address to assign a quantitative score, which is indicative of the probability that the host is malicious. The system may use this score, for example, in combination with other indications, to decide whether the host in question is malicious or innocent. The overall decision may use, for example, a rule engine, machine learning techniques or any other suitable means. The malware detection system may also analyze alerts regarding hosts that are suspected of being malicious. The alerts may originate, for example, from Command & Control (C&C) detection, from an Intrusion Detection System (IDS), or from any other suitable source. A given alert typically reports a name of the suspected host and an IP address that allegedly belongs to that host.
