Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for group semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) for path diversity. A method that may be performed by a node includes configuring one or more groups of user equipments (UEs) with one or more SPS resources. The node sends a downlink control information (DCI) to activate one of the SPS resources for one of the groups of UEs and transmits data to the group of UEs using the activated SPS resource. A first UE may receive data from the node using the activated SPS resource and retransmit the data to the second UE. The first helping UE and the second targeted UE may be identified based on the higher layer configuration with the SPS resources, based on information in the DCI, and/or based on information sent with the data.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may transmit a grant to a first user equipment (UE) that indicates a resource allocation for a sidelink communication, either from the first UE to a second UE or from the second UE to the first UE. The grant may include a destination identifier associated with the sidelink communication, as well as a mapping between the resource allocation and the destination identifier. The destination identifier may be based on information in an indication received from the first UE. In some examples, the base station may configure a default receiver UE for transmissions from the first UE, and the base station may identify a receiver UE in the grant if the intended receiver UE is different than the default receiver UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may utilize opportunistic cooperative relaying to support exchanging packets between UEs without establishing or maintaining beamforming alignment between the UEs. Specifically, a source UE may invite nearby UEs (e.g., helper UEs) that receive a sidelink transmission (e.g., a packet meant for a different destination UE) to perform a single frequency network (SFN)-type transmission to opportunistically relay the packet to the destination UE. The helper UEs may receive, decode, and transmit the sidelink signaling from the source UE without establishing or configuring a relay agreement with the source UE. The destination UE may receive the sidelink signaling via cascading, SFN-type transmissions by one or more helper UEs. The destination UE may respond to the sidelink signaling with feedback information via one or more helper UEs or directly to the source UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Autonomous transmissions between a user equipment (UE) and a base station may be configured that include at least one of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) or resources for the transmissions. In some cases, a trigger may be detected that changes the MCS or resources to be used for the autonomous transmissions. The trigger may include the presence or absence of retransmissions or the value of a channel measurement falling below or exceeding a threshold value. Accordingly, the base station and UE may adjust the MCS or resources to be used for the autonomous transmissions based on detecting the trigger and then communicate using the adjusted MCS or resources. In some cases, the configuration for the autonomous transmissions may be signaled via a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE).

The TDD configuration may also identify one or more of the slots or symbols as UL slots or symbols and one or more slots or symbols as DL slots or symbols.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support controlling transmit power of one or more groups of user equipment (UE) sidelinks using a single sidelink control transmission of group transmit power control (TPC) information. A first UE may transmit group TPC information to one or more groups of UEs, such as by including the group TPC information in sidelink control information (SCI). The group TPC information may include a group TPC indicator and one or more TPC messages for providing one or more group TPC commands with respect to groups of sidelinks. Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for search space channel sensing in sidelink communication between one or more sensors/actuators (SAs) and programmable logic controller (PLC) in internet of things (IoT) applications. Particularly, the techniques described herein configure a search space (e.g., subset of all available sub-channels/resources) for transmission and reception of sidelink packets (e.g., physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) and physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH)) between the PLC from the one or more SAs. Thus, in some instances, the UE may perform congestion control metrics for a one or more search spaces in which the UE may transmit sidelink communications. The congestion control metrics that may be limited to the search space may preserve UE resources that would otherwise need to be expended to perform channel sensing on an entire resource pool prior to initiating sidelink communication.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to communication systems, apparatus and methods which enable or support transmitting/receiving downlink control information (DCI) carrying a downlink grant or an uplink grant. A method includes detecting a reference length based on an effective length of a downlink (DL) grant DCI and an effective length of an uplink (UL) grant DCI and calculating a length difference based on the effective DL grant DCI length and the effective UL grant DCI length. A length of a padding field in the DL grant DCI and/or the UL grant DCI is set equal to the calculated length difference such that the lengths of the DL grant DCI and UL grant DCI are both equal to the reference length. Padding bits are inserted in the padding field of the DL grant DCI and/or the UL grant DCI. Thereafter, the DL grant DCI and/or the UL grant DCI is encoded and transmitted to a scheduled entity.
