The calendar mechanism includes a date display and a month display. The sunrise and sunset indicating mechanism also includes an annual cam having a profile representative of the tilt of the sun with respect to the equatorial plane and arranged to be driven in rotation by the date wheel set via a third kinematic chain.

Abstract: A DC motor including a continuous rotation rotor; a first inductor characterized by first parameters; a second inductor characterized by second parameters; a voltage supply unit; a measurement unit for detecting time instants when a first induced voltage in the first inductor equals a second induced voltage in the second inductor; and a control unit for controlling the application of drive voltage pulses to the inductors. The rotor faces first the second inductor before facing the first inductor when being rotated. At least one of the second parameters is selected different from a corresponding parameter of the first parameters such that a maximum induced voltage in the first inductor is greater than a maximum induced voltage in the second inductor. The control unit is arranged to trigger each of the drive voltage pulses after a detection of an equal induced voltage in the first and second inductors.

Abstract: The active lighting device of a bicycle includes a first optical system with a first light source for long-distance illumination, controlled by a control unit, and a second optical system with a second light source for short-distance illumination, controlled by the control unit. It includes a light sensor for determining the light intensity of a location in which the bicycle is situated and allows the control unit to adapt the light intensity of the light sources, if they are activated and if the ambient light intensity is below a determined light threshold. Moreover, a speed sensor is provided for determining the speed of the bicycle in use on a path, so that the control unit controls the activation of the first light source from at least one determined speed threshold. An orientation detector is provided for orienting the light sources depending on a curve travelled by the bicycle in use.

According to preferred embodiments, the rod and/or fastening of the oscillator comprises a material having greater internal friction than that of said material A, such that the quality factor Q2 of the symmetrical oscillations is reduced, in contrast to the quality factor Q1 of the anti symmetrical oscillation mode.
