Abstract: A user equipment (UE) generates a positioning state information (PSI) report that is transmitted in a lower layer channel container, e.g., in the Physical channel or Medium Access Control channel, to a network entity to reduce latency. The PSI report is generated based on a plurality of PSI report elements determined from uplink (UL), downlink (DL) or UL and DL positioning measurements performed by the UE. Each PSI report element includes information related to positioning measurements performed by the UE. The transmission of at least one PSI report element generated by the UE may be postponed and not included in a current PSI report. The PSI report includes one or more indications of postponement, indicating that one or more PSI report elements have been postponed. A serving base station may grant a lower layer channel container for a second PSI report to contain the previously postponed PSI report elements.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a preemption indication indicating that resources of at least one shared channel communication among one or more shared channel communications of a shared channel are to be preempted, where the one or more shared channel communications are to be time-domain reference signal (RS) bundled based at least in part on an RS associated with the shared channel. The UE may selectively perform time-domain RS bundling of the one or more shared channel communications based at least in part on the preemption indication. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) receives configurations for multiple downlink (DL) positioning reference signals (PRS), multiple uplink (UL) PRS, or a combination thereof. A single Medium Access Control-Control Element (MAC-CE) block from a serving base station is provided that activates or deactivates in the UE the transmissions of the multiple UL PRS; reception of the multiple DL PRS, or a combination thereof, and in response the UE activates or deactivates the transmission and/or reception of the multiple UL PRS and/or DL PRS. The MAC-CE block, for example, may identify multiple UL PRS resource sets, each of which includes at least one PRS resource, for activation or deactivation. The MAC-CE block may additionally or alternatively, identify multiple DL PRS resources, multiple DL PRS resource sets, or multiple DL PRS frequency layers for activation or deactivation.

GEOMETRIC DILUTION OF PRECISION BASED TRANSMIT/RECEIVE POINT SELECTION FOR WIRELESS POSITIONING

Abstract: Wireless positioning accuracy of a user equipment (UE) is impacted by locations of the transmit/receive points (TRPs) and UE for wireless positioning. To improve the accuracy of estimated locations, a geometric dilution of precision (GDOP) may be determined for different groups of candidate TRPs, with the GDOP indicating a potential positioning error associated with the group of candidate TRPs. A UE may determine GDOPs for different combinations of candidate TRPs. One or more devices of a wireless network (e.g., a location server and/or a UE for positioning) may select or exclude one or more candidate TRPs from being used for wireless positioning of a UE based on the determined GDOPs. Exclusion or selection of candidate TRPs for wireless positioning may also be based on quality measurements of PRSs (such as an RSRP or SNR) or a time duration associated with measuring the PRSs from the candidate TRPs to be selected.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a first user equipment (UE) transmits a request to perform a positioning procedure to at least one second UE over a sidelink between the first UE and the at least one second UE, receives, from the at least one second UE over the sidelink, an indication of a set of time resources, frequency resources, or both allocated for the positioning procedure, and transmits at least one positioning reference signal on the set of time and/or frequency resources allocated for the positioning procedure. The second UE receives the request to perform the positioning procedure from the first UE over the sidelink, transmits the request to a base station, receives, from the base station, an indication of the set of time and/or frequency resources allocated for the positioning procedure, and transmits the indication to the first UE over the sidelink.
