Abstract:
A method is presented for a mobile station operating in a wireless communication system. The mobile station receives configuration information for power management from a base station. The configuration information informs the mobile station a first time period during which the mobile station monitors signals from the base station and a second time period during which the mobile station does not monitor signals from the base station. The mobile station applies the configuration information for power management to one or more primary carriers and one or more activated secondary carriers. The mobile station receives downlink data from the base station via the one or more primary carriers and the one or more activated secondary carriers during the first time period. The mobile station receives a specific Medium Access Control (MAC) message from the base station, wherein the mobile station stops the first time period when receiving the specific MAC message.
Abstract:
A method and a device for receiving a multicast frame in a wireless LAN are disclosed. The method for receiving a multicast frame in a wireless LAN comprises the steps of: combining, by an STA, an AP on the basis of an initial access frame transmitted by the AP through a primary channel; setting, by the STA, an operating channel as an exclusive multicast channel on a first time resource, wherein the first time resource and the primary channel are indicated on the basis of the initial access frame; receiving, by the STA, the multicast frame from the AP through the exclusive multicast channel on the first time resource; setting, by the STA, the operating channel as the primary channel on a second time resource; and receiving, by the STA, a unicast frame from the AP through the primary channel on the second time resource.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting data in a wireless LAN may comprise the steps of: receiving a non-target clear to send (CTS) frame from a second station (STA) by a first STA; transmitting a request to send (RTS) frame to a first access point (AP) coupled with the first STA within a network allocation vector (NAV) interval configured on the basis of the non-target CTS frame by the first STA; receiving a CTS frame in response to the RTS frame from the first AP by the first STA; and transmitting a first data frame to the first AP by the first STA.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more specifically, disclosed are a method and an apparatus for setting up a high-speed link in a WLAN system. A method for a station (STA) setting up the high-speed link in the wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: scanning and discovering a plurality of access points (APs); transmitting a request frame to a portion or all of the plurality of APs by using a multicast or a broadcast technique; and receiving a response frame from the portion or all of the plurality of APs.
Abstract:
A method and a device for performing active scanning are disclosed. The method for active scanning of a STA comprises the steps of: transmitting a probe request frame that contains channel monitoring type information in a scanning channel; determining whether the scanning channel is in a busy state until a MinimumChannelTime; determining whether a PPDU including a valid PLCP header is received in the scanning channel until the MinimumChannelTime; and determining a time for monitoring a probe response frame transmitted by the AP in the scanning channel based on whether the PPDU is received until the MinimumChannelTime and channel monitoring type information, when the scanning channel is in the busy state, wherein the channel monitoring type information can contain information on a type with which the STA monitors the probe response frame in the scanning channel.
Abstract:
Disclosed are an active scanning method and an active scanning device. The active scanning method in a wireless LAN comprises the steps of: a second station (STA) receiving a first probe request frame which has been broadcast by a first STA; and the second STA broadcasting a second probe request frame. The second probe request frame may include a probe request frame detection field, and the probe request frame detection field may indicate that the second STA has received the first probe request frame. Accordingly, a probe response frame is broadcast to a plurality of STAs, thus simplifying a scanning procedure.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein relates to a sleep mode operation method, and the method of updating a sleep mode operation according to the present invention may include receiving a service flow configuration request (DSx-REQ) message including a service flow parameter for service flow configuration and a sleep cycle ID (SCID) for changing a sleep mode according to the service flow configuration from a base station during a sleep mode listening window; transmitting a service flow configuration response (DSx-RSP) message including the SCID; configuring the service flow according to the service flow identifier; and changing an SCID to the SCID for updating the sleep mode operation.
