    Abstract: A synchronization method performed for a first piece of audio equipment connected to a wireless network via a first radio point that is identified by a first BSSID, the method comprising the steps of: detecting a second piece of audio equipment connected to the same wireless network and forming part of the same audio group; acquiring a second BSSID of a second radio point via which the second piece of audio equipment is connected to the wireless network, and then determining whether the first BSSID and the second BSSID are identical; if not, performing a selection stage to select an optimum radio point that is identified by an optimum BSSID; if the optimum BSSID is different from the first BSSID, connecting the first piece of audio equipment to the wireless network via the optimum radio point.

    Abstract: A method for connecting a node of a wireless-communication coverage-extension system is provided. The node determines whether it has been moved out of an initial local area network. In the case where the node has been moved, a local area network is established from the moved node by activating an address server functionality. The moved node is then connected to a point of access to the internet. A secure tunnel is next established between the moved node and a master node coordinating the initial local area network. The address server functionality is then deactivated and a client functionality of an address server of the initial local area network is activated.

    Abstract: A wireless communication system has an access point managing a first wireless local area network. To transmit the frame, the access point: obtains data to be transmitted in multicast mode; obtains data to be transmitted in unicast mode; and constructs a physical-layer header including: in a common signalling field, an identification of each channel resource intended to be used for making the frame transmission, whether this be for the data to be transmitted in unicast mode or in multicast mode; and, in each field in a series of specific signalling fields, information representing an association between a channel resource identifier used and a unique identifier of the destination concerned or group of destinations concerned. Thus each destination can determine each channel resource to listen to in order to receive the data that are addressed to it, whether this be in unicast mode or in multicast mode.

    Abstract: An item of ONU equipment configures itself to communicate by a first transport system with OLT equipment in an optical access network, and starts a synchronisation for the first transport system and transmits by means of the first transport system. The ONU equipment transmits, via a protocol layer supervising any transport system of the optical access network, without waiting for the end of the synchronisation for the first transport system, information dependent on identifiers of the user equipment and the first transport system. When the transport system to be used is not the first transport system, the protocol layer supervising any transport system of the optical access network interrupts the synchronisation at the OLT equipment, and the ONU equipment reattempts the synchronisation with a second transport system; otherwise the synchronisation continues for the first transport system until the ONU equipment is put in communication in the optical access network.
