    摘要: A sealing structure for a gas turbine blade which pivots about a pivot shaft. A split ring is located in a groove on the shaft, in which the ring can be embedded and held by a bush. When the blade is fitted, the bush abuts against a wall of the stator, slides on the pivot shaft and frees the ring, which expands and forms the seal. The invention relates to gas turbines where the stator blades have a variable setting.

    摘要: An annular brush gasket makes it possible to ensure imperviousness between two zones wherein a pressure difference exists between the zones, even when the shaft is moved off center. The body of the gasket is mainly formed of several annular sectors disposed so as to form a ring around the shaft and each sector is pivotally mounted to the stator. A retaining ring or snap ring elastically biases the filaments of the sectors against the shaft despite any outward movement of the shaft center.

    摘要: The combustion chamber according to the present invention utilizes a double-walled structure only in the converging portion of the combustion chamber. A hot wall is retained adjacent to, but spaced from a corresponding cold wall so as to provide a cooling space between them. An upstream portion of the hot wall is retained in a notch defined by the cold wall, while the downstream portions each have generally radially extending flanges. Studs pass through openings in the adjacent flanges to prevent any relative circumferential movement, while a clamp serves to attach the flanges to the inlet of a turbine. The clamp slidably retains the flanges therein so as to permit relative radial movement to accommodate any thermal expansion and contraction of the combustion chamber, solely by the appended claims.

    摘要: A fuel system for a turbojet engine is disclosed in which the operating parameters of the engine are improved throughout the range of engine operating conditions. The fuel system includes an enlarged intermediate bowl for the combustion chamber which increases the reactive volume, while at the same time provides sufficient cooling of the bowl to avoid burn-through or uneven engine operating characteristics. The bowl extends radially outwardly beyond an opening in the base of the combustion chamber and defines a row of air inlet orifices which serves to more completely atomize the fuel prior to its ignition. A diaphragm control system may also be utilized to control the amount of air flowing into the bowl as the engine speed changes.

    摘要: A housing for an axial compressor is disclosed having an inner and outer wall surrounding the compressor rotor, the walls being joined by a number of flexible connecting rods, connecting lugs and a connecting block. An outer surface of the inner wall has circumferentially extending corrugation and the rods are attached thereto at peaks in the corrugation. The flexible connecting rods are located in alignment with a leading edge and a trailing edge of stator vanes which extend from an inner surface of the inner wall. The housing may be cast as an integral, one piece element and subsequently subdivided into arcuate segments to facilitate attachment to the compressor.
