    摘要: If an overlap of two or more extended reality (XR) safe play areas, associated with active XR devices (e.g., VR devices) operating in a physical space is detected, then a combined safe area is determined based on the first and second safe areas, and a reconfigured first and second safe areas are generated for the XR devices. A virtual partition may demarcate the separation between the first and second safe areas. The virtual partition may include a buffer zone that separates the reconfigured first safe area from the reconfigured second safe area. An errant XR device may be guided back to its safe area. If a XR device is deactivated, the entire combined area may be allotted to the remaining XR device.

    摘要: Systems and methods for creating a social content-viewing experience are described herein. In one embodiment, users are located in different physical locations. Each user is viewing a screen in a respective physical location. Content displayed on the screens is synchronized by a media system such that each user is viewing the same media asset. A media asset may be a movie, TV show, sports game, photo, presentation, or video game, to name a few examples. At least one user is using an AR headset. The AR headset displays avatars to represent the other users and displays the avatars in the viewing area of the user wearing the AR headset. For the user wearing the AR headset, the avatars provide a viewing experience that simulates having the other users present in the viewing area.

    摘要: Systems and methods provided herein for intelligently distinguishing between different versions of a media asset and selectively storing those requested media assets that differ from versions that were previously stored in some pre-defined characteristics. These systems and methods, upon identifying a version of the requested media asset was previously stored, determine a characteristic of the requested media asset. These systems and methods compare the characteristic of the requested media asset with a corresponding characteristic of the version of the requested media asset that was previously stored to determine a difference between the two versions. The systems and methods then determine whether the difference in characteristic renders the requested media asset preferable over the previously stored version. Upon determining that the requested media asset is preferable over the previously stored version, the systems and methods store the requested media asset.

    摘要: Systems and methods of rotating content license management for multiple terminals associated with the same content service subscription user account are disclosed. An ephemeral master device (EMD) is selected from a domain of client devices associated with the same user account. The content service generates an Ephemeral Personal Credential (EPC) associated with the user account, which is temporary and is updated periodically or randomly. The EMD role rotates among the devices in the domain periodically or randomly. The updated EPC is sent to the current EMD. A client device can access content via the user account by providing 1) the account credentials and 2) a valid EPC. Account credentials may be shared with the client device. The EPC is shared with the client device when the client device moves within a particular range of the EMD (or another device in the domain which has the EPC) to synchronize the EPC.
