Abstract: A head-mountable device can include a display, an arm, a bi-stable hinge connecting the arm to the display, the bi-stable hinge and the arm including an open position, a folded position, and a splay position. A first electronic component can be positionally fixed between the display and the bi-stable hinge, a second electronic component can be positioned distal to the bi-stable hinge, and a cable can connect the first electronic component and the second electronic component, the cable being routed through the bi-stable hinge.

Abstract: Disclosed are electronic devices that include an array of light emitting diodes and photosensors formed in a single semiconductor chip. The light emitting diodes may be structured as vertical exterior cavity surface-emitting laser diodes (VECSELs). The photosensors may be formed as resonant cavity photosensors (RCPDs). The VECSELs and the RCPDs of the array may be formed in a common set of semiconductor layers of the single semiconductor chip and separated by isolation regions formed in the common set of semiconductor layers. Also disclosed are dual chip transmitter-receiver systems including a first semiconductor chip having an array of both VECSELs and RCPDs formed in common set of semiconductor layers, and a second semiconductor chip electrically connected to the first semiconductor chip and including control circuitry to enable laser emission from the VECSELs and light reception by the RCPDs.

Abstract: An electronic device may include a housing and relative humidity sensor in the housing. The relative humidity sensor may include an optical layer, a relative humidity-sensitive layer coupled to a surface of the optical layer, a light emitter that emits light into the optical layer, and a light detector that detects light that has reflected within the optical layer and off of the relative humidity-sensitive layer. The relative humidity may be determined based on the light detected by the light detector. The optical layer may be a layer with angled edges, a prism, a Bragg reflector, or a waveguide. A reference light detector and/or a temperature sensor may be included in the relative humidity sensor, and measurements from these additional sensors may be used in determining the relative humidity. In this way, an optical relative humidity sensor may be formed in the electronic device.

Abstract: Beam determination refers to a set of procedures for an access node (AN) and a user equipment (UE) to select from among downlink communication beams and/or uplink communication beams for downlink and/or uplink communications, respectively. Often times, the downlink communication beams can include one or more downlink control channels, for example, a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) and/or a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH), to provide downlink reference signals, such as channel-state information reference signals (CSI-RSs), to the UE. The AN can execute various exemplary downlink beam scheduling procedures to control the transmission of the downlink reference signals, such as the CSI-RSs to provide an example, over the downlink communication beams. In some embodiments, the UE can utilize the CSI-RSs to perform beamforming failure detection (BFD) and beamforming failure recovery (BFR) in the wireless networks.

Abstract: The subject disclosure provides systems and methods for sender verification for encrypted electronic messaging. The discloses systems and methods may facilitate reducing or preventing spam messages between electronic devices. An electronic device may determine, prior to sending an electronic message to another device with a first level of encryption that is higher than a second level of encryption, whether the electronic device is eligible to send the message with the first level of encryption. If an electronic device determines that it is ineligible to send the message with the first level of encryption to another electronic device, a first message from the electronic device to the other electronic device may be sent with the second level of encryption as part of an unencrypted or low encryption handshake between the devices.
