A method for identifying broadcasts for acquisition and storage within a mobile device includes the steps of receiving a plurality of broadcasts, wherein each broadcast includes both informational content for presentation to a person and broadcast-identifying information; and, for each respective broadcast that is received, determining whether the respective broadcast has previously been received by comparing the broadcast-identifying information of the respective broadcast with broadcast-identifying information of previously received broadcasts. The method further may include the step of storing within the mobile device the informational content of a broadcast that has not previously been received, wherein the informational content of the broadcast is stored in association with the broadcast-identifying information thereof.
Abstract:
A steering column slider shaft assembly includes a shaft and yoke assembly having yoke at a first end and an attached non-cylindrical shaft extending therefrom to a second end. The second end is engaged with a non-cylindrical tube which forms a second end of a tube and yoke assembly, the tube being congruent with and adapted to slidably receive the shaft and provide a slip fit therefor. The shaft and yoke assembly and the tube and yoke assembly each have interengaging provisions which are over-molded or otherwise attached, for sealing the slider shaft assembly. The interengaging provisions also serve to limit extension of the slider assembly to resist inadvertent separation of the slider shaft assembly during assembly of the steering column.

A carrier rack and rack retainer for use with a pickup truck includes a rack having an assemblable set of at least two rack segments each having a transverse bridge and two columnar bridge support struts, each strut having offset, i.e. parallel but non-collinear, upper end and lower end portions. The upper end portion of each strut mates with a discrete end of the bridge of a discrete rack segment in at least two discrete rotated positions of the strut about the longitudinal axis of the upper end portion of the strut, thereby providing a rack segment with selectable spacing between the lower end portions of the struts. The rack retainer provides at least two pairs of columnar pillars mountable adjacent side walls of the pickup truck cargo area. The spacing between the lower end portions of the struts of each assembled rack segment may be selected to be approximately equal to the spacing between the pillars of a discrete pair of mounted pillars. Each mounted pillar mates with the lower end portion of a discrete one of the struts of a discrete assembled rack segment with the strut in any of its rotated positions.

Consistent with embodiments described herein, a one-piece staple for affixing electrical or communications wires or staples includes a body portion and at least three leg elements extending from the body portion. The first leg element and the second leg element define a first cable receiving area, and the second leg element and the third leg element define a second cable receiving area. The at least three leg elements are configured for secure insertion into a structural support element.
Abstract:
Computer-storage media, methods, and systems for formatting and surfacing a badge are provided. The badge represents a graphical region presented in visual association with a search result on a web-results page. The format of the badge is initially dictated by a template that is automatically generated. Upon collecting performance information, a website owner is granted permission to alter the template and appearance of the badge, via a publisher portal. During interaction with the publisher portal, the website owner is prompted to provide feedback in order to manage parameters of the badge, such as uploading a visual representation of a logo, trademark, or other branded element, or specifying a type of metadata to be imported to the graphical region. Accordingly, the badge operates to improve a users' ability to distinguish between search results on the web-results page and assists users in confidently deciding upon and selecting a relevant search result.
Abstract:
Computer-readable media and methods for model-based searching to provide search results of relevance to a search topic are provided. A model describing a search framework for generating a plurality of search queries is provided. A number of search topics are identified and attributes are assigned to each search topic. Attribute data elements and values are provided to describe each to the assigned attributes for each search topic. The attributes inform the search framework in order to compile a plurality of search queries for the search topic. A search term is received from a user and a corresponding search topic is identified. The plurality of search queries are executed to obtain search results for the corresponding search topic. The search queries may be pre-executed and the search results cached in a computer memory for later retrieval. The search results are organized based on the model and are presented to the user.

An embodiment of the current invention is directed to presenting a preview of search results for a suggested search. A search engine query is received. One or more search results are generated. One or more suggested, search terms are generated. A search engine results page is generated, including the one or more search results and the one or more suggested, search terms. An indication is received, indicating that a preview of search results related to a selected, suggested, search term is to be displayed. A preview window including a results section and a menu-bar section is generated. One or more search results related to the selected, suggested, search term are acquired. The one or more search results are presented in the preview window. The preview window allows interaction with the one or more search results.

The methods generally include administering to a subject in need thereof a pharmaceutically acceptable formulation comprising a parathyroid hormone (PTH) peptide analogue in a daily dose sufficient to result in an effective pharmacokinetic profile and maintained adenylate cyclase activity, while simultaneously reducing undesirable side effects.

A method for practice in a system in which broadcasts are transmitted from wireless transmitters includes the steps of: receiving with the mobile device broadcasts from the wireless transmitters, wherein each broadcast includes informational content for presentation to a person; selecting a particular broadcast, which includes the steps of determining a proximity indicator for a wireless transmitter from which a broadcast is received, and determining whether the type of the informational content of a received broadcast is presentable according to the preferences profile; and, using the mobile device, presenting to the person the informational content of the selected particular broadcast. Determining a proximity indicator may include: measuring a signal strength; or comparing GPS data related to the position of the mobile device to positional data from the wireless transmitter. In this regard, the positional data may include GPS data related to the position of the wireless transmitter.
