A power generating module is provided in an LCD where the power generating module includes a first driving voltage generator, a second driving voltage generator and an output deviation controller. The first driving voltage generator generates and outputs a first set of LCD driving voltages including a first liquid crystal driving voltage and a first gate-on-voltage. The second driving voltage generator generates and outputs a similar second set of LCD driving voltages. The output deviation controller controls the first and second driving voltage generators using one or more feedback signals each corresponding to a potential difference between counterpart output voltages of the first driving voltage and the second driving voltage to reduce output deviations between those counterpart output voltages.

The memory controller interfaces data reading from and writing to a memory and includes: a characteristic estimating part estimating a characteristic of a memory output signal outputted from the memory for the data reading and writing; and a characteristic adjusting part controlling the memory so that the characteristic of the memory output signal is within a predetermined reference range if the characteristic of the memory output signal estimated by the characteristic estimating part is beyond the predetermined reference range.

A method and apparatus for setting column address strobe (CAS) latency and frequency for heterogeneous memories are provided. The method includes obtaining setting information related to CAS latencies and frequencies supported by two or more memories, and comparing the CAS latencies supported by the memories with one another and setting a highest frequency among the frequencies that all of the memories have in common as a common frequency for the memories if the memories have one or more CAS latencies in common.

Provided are a power generating module and an LCD having the same. The voltage levels of driving powers output from a plurality of power source units are compared to generate feedback signals corresponding to potential differences thereof and to provide the generated feedback signals to the plurality of power source units, so that the voltage levels of the driving powers output from the plurality of power source units are controlled to converge to an intermediate level. Therefore, output deviation between driving powers output from the plurality of power source units can be reduced.

A driving device includes an output timing controller which controls an output timing of a first driving voltage and a second driving voltage respectively generated from a first voltage generator and a second voltage generator. A third driving voltage output from the output timing controller is provided to a first data driver and a second data driver, and also provided to a gamma voltage generator to generate a plurality of gamma voltages. Accordingly, a reverse electric potential between the third driving voltage and the gamma voltages is prevented from being generated in the first and second data drivers, therefore, preventing the first and second data drivers from being damaged.
