摘要： A vehicle front end structure is configured to handle a front collision by using one or more inflatable bags to bear the collision load and produce a stable reaction force. The front inflatable bag is provided in a region where a colliding object can contact the front end of a vehicle body and configured such that it can deploy and inflate into a wall surface-like shape immediately before a collision. As a result, the collision load of a front collision can be absorbed efficiently. Additionally, since the inflated front inflatable bag serves to bear the collision load as a surface, it can generate a stable reaction force irregardless of the angle at which the collision load is imparted, the size of the colliding object, or size of the overlap ratio.

摘要： A vehicle headrest apparatus includes a headrest member including a head restraint section to restrain the head of a seat occupant; and a forward move mechanism to move the head restraint section forward in case of a rear end collision of a vehicle. There is further provided an inclining mechanism to incline the head restraint section forward during a forward movement of the head restraint section, by increasing an amount of a forward movement of an upper part of the head restraint section greater than an amount of a forward movement of a lower part of the head restraint section.

摘要： A headrest apparatus for a vehicle has a headrest body 10a provided with a left headrest member 11 and a right headrest member 12 and a locking unit 40 for holding the left and right headrest members 11, 12 at their initial positions. At a vehicle rear-end collision, the locking unit 40 is released by a control unit 50 for detecting the vehicle rear-end collision. As a result, the left and right headrest members 11, 12 rotate forward about the vehicle, so that a sheet 13 stretched between respective separation ends of the members 11, 12 is unfolded to restrict a passenger's head without making use of the passenger's inertia at the collision, surely and rapidly.
