摘要: Systems and methods directed to autonomous monitoring by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) are provided. A system may include a UAV including a camera configured to capture a stream of images of a scene. The system further includes one or more logic devices configured to control an automatic flight of the UAV to capture the stream of images based on a flight mode selected by a user. The one or more logic devices are further configured to detect a monitoring event in the stream of images. The one or more logic devices are further configured to provide a notification to the user based on the detected monitoring event. The UAV may include at least one of the logic devices. Additional systems and related methods are also provided.

摘要: Techniques for deicing propellers for mobile platforms are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system is provided. The system may include a propeller comprising a propeller blade having a channel extending from an ingress aperture to an egress aperture along a longitudinal axis of the propeller blade. The system may further include a cowl comprising an air duct configured to direct heated air into the channel to deice the propeller blade. The cowl may be configured to selectively couple to the propeller and an electric motor and form a seal between the cowl and the electric motor to capture the heated air exuded by the electric motor. Additional systems and methods are also disclosed.

The logic device is configured to receive demark pressure data from a demark barometer coupled to the base station and determine a differential flight altitude estimation based, at least in part, on received flight pressure data and demark pressure data, a reference flight pressure and a reference demark pressure corresponding to a flight initiation location of the base station.

摘要: Systems and methods directed to a visual safe indicator (VSI) for mechanical interruption of power to a fuze are provided. A VSI includes a circuit board including a pair of contact pads, a shaft configured to rotate about an axis, a visual indicator wheel coupled to rotate with the shaft, and a pair of spring contacts coupled to the visual indicator wheel, or any combination thereof. Rotation of the shaft rotates the visual indicator wheel to move the pair of spring contacts between connected and disconnected positions associated with powered-on and powered-off states of the VSI. The connected position engages the pair of spring contacts with the pair of contact pads to complete a circuit through the VSI. The disconnected position disengages the pair of spring contacts from the pair of contact pads to open the circuit. Additional systems and related methods are also provided.

摘要: Systems and methods directed to suspended propulsion systems for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) are provided. A system may include a UAV having a body and a center of gravity (CG), and a suspended propulsion system coupled to the UAV. The suspended propulsion system may include a power source for the UAV, and a harness coupled to the UAV to suspend at least a portion of the power source under the CG of the UAV. The harness may be a rigid or flexible harness configured to decouple an inertia of the suspended propulsion system from an inertia of the UAV. Additional systems and related methods are also provided.
