Abstract:
An optical disc drive includes a traverse deck having left and right sides to be balanced. The optical disc drive includes a main deck, a tray, a turntable, an optical pickup, a traverse deck, and a balancer. The optical pickup is mounted movably in the back-and-forth direction to emit light to an optical disc placed on the turntable to read and write information from and to the optical disc. On the traverse deck, the turntable is mounted at the front side of the traverse deck and the optical pickup is mounted movably in the back-and-forth direction. The balancer is mounted on the traverse deck to balance the weights of the left and right sides of the traverse deck.
Abstract:
A disk cartridge includes a case which receives a disk thereon, a cover which is installed on the case and includes an opening, and a shutter which is movably installed in the case, in a lower direction of the disk, to open and close an aperture formed on the case. The disk cartridge has guide holes formed on the case along a trace of the shutter, and support members formed on the shutter. The support members are guided along the guide holes while having ends thereof interfering with peripherals of the guide holes. Therefore, since the peripherals of the guide holes interfere with the ends of the support members, the shutter is prevented from being deformed even where an external force is applied to the shutter through the aperture, in a closed state of the shutter.
Abstract:
A diffractive deflection beam scanning system including: a plurality of light sources; a deflection disc rotatably mounted over the light sources, having patterns capable of diffracting and deflecting beams emitted from the light sources; a plurality of first reflecting mirrors for changing the traveling paths of beams diffracted and deflected by the deflection disc; a plurality of second reflecting mirrors for reflecting the beams reflected by the first reflecting mirrors in a beam scan direction, wherein the light sources are disposed in a straight line along a bisecting line of the deflection disc, perpendicular to the beam scan direction, and the second reflecting mirrors are arranged over the center of the deflection disc at different heights.
Abstract:
A clothes washing machine includes a water tub, a spin basket, and a clothes agitator. A vertical dehydrating shaft is fixed to the spin basket, and a laundering shaft extends coaxially within the dehydrating shaft. Upper and lower ends of the laundering shaft are connected to the agitator and a motor respectively, whereby rotation of the motor is always transmitted to the agitator. In order to selectively connect the dehydrating shaft to the laundering shaft (e.g., during a spin-drying operation), a connecting gear is mounted on the dehydrating shaft for rotation therewith and for vertical movement relative thereto. A power-driven actuator is provided for selectively moving the connecting gear up or down. When the connecting gear moves down, lower teeth thereon become operably connected to the motor so that the dehydrating shaft and laundering shaft rotate together. During a washing or rinsing operation, the connecting gear is moved up, whereby upper teeth thereon become connected to a fixed element, whereby the dehydrating shaft is fixed against rotation.
Abstract:
A cartridge inserting/extracting apparatus for use in a magnetooptical disk player for recording and/or reproducing information of a magnetooptical disk using an optical pickup and magnetic head uses a cartridge holder rotationally opened and/or closed on a deck for loading a minidisk, and includes an extracting member for extracting the minidisk received in the cartridge holder, a locking release member, and a locking lever member. The apparatus prevents a disk from being removed in a state where the magnetic head will be damaged.
Abstract:
An optical disc drive to prevent entry of dust through a front side of a tray and includes a housing including a first opening, a shielding member disposed to shield the first opening at a distance from a front side of the housing, and including a second opening, and a tray inserted in the first and the second openings to shield the second opening and loaded into and unloaded from the housing. Thus, since sponge or padding is not dedicatedly used, cost can be saved. In addition, since the manufacturing process is simplified, productivity can be improved.
Abstract:
A disk player has a tray capable of moving in and out of a player body. A driving unit moves the tray. A lift unit selectively engages or disengages the driving unit and raises a turntable receiving a disk loaded by the tray thereon. A spindle motor rotates the turntable. A damping unit reduces loads and impacts during movement of the lift unit.
Abstract:
A disk cartridge includes a case accommodating a disk, a cover installed at the case to be capable of being open and shut and having a hole formed thereon to be open to an outside of the cover, a shutter installed under the disk in the case to be capable of moving to open and shut an opening formed on the case, and a clamping member installed at the cover to seal the hole to clamp the disk. Thus, since the clamping member blocks the hole of the cover connected to the outside of the cover, possibility of intrusion of dust into the disk cartridge is reduced. Also, since there is no need to install the clamping member at the disk drive, the disk drive can be made simplified and slim.
Abstract:
A disk drive including a tray on which a disk cartridge is mounted and is loaded into and unloaded from a main body; a guide formed on the tray; and an opening and closing member installed to be elastically connected to the guide. The opening and closing member has a second gear that rotates a rotating wheel by meshing with a first gear; and a first protrusion formed on one end of a second gear and to temporarily rotate the rotating wheel so that the first and second gears can mesh. The guide pushes the first protrusion during loading/unloading of the tray so that the first protrusion and the latch do not come in contact with each other.
Abstract:
A disk cartridge includes a case to accommodate a disk, and a shutter installed in the case to move under the disk, and to selectively open/shut an opening hole formed in the case. The disk cartridge includes a support portion to protrude from the shutter to support a non-information area of the disk. Thus, since the shutter contacts only the non-information area of the disk, the information area of the disk is protected during an operation of the shutter to open and shut the opening hole.
