Abstract:
In a milking facility (1) provided with on-site measuring equipment (9) capable of measuring a quality and/or quantity of milk produced, wherein the milk produced is stored in a milk tank (5) and is then collected (79) by a dairy plant, there is provided a method comprising the steps of: (i) receiving (61) a measured value indicative of the quality and/or quantity of milk produced in the milking facility from the on-site measuring equipment; (ii) receiving (99) from the dairy plant a corresponding measured value indicative of the quality and/or quantity of milk collected and transported, wherein the dairy plant is provided with high-quality measuring equipment (41); (iii) comparing (93) the measured values from the on-site measuring equipment of the milking facility and from the dairy plant; and (iv) calibrating or verifying (95) the on-site measuring equipment of the milking facility depending on the result of the comparison.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for locating a teat cup for use in a milking parlour. The apparatus includes a milking stall (7) provided on a rotatable platform (9) and a system (19, 245, 23, 25) for controlling movement of a teat cup magazine (20) relative to the stall (7). The movement control system permits movement of the magazine (20) between first and second predefined positions relative to the milking stall (7).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a railway wagon comprising a load carrier and front and rear bogies. The load carrier is releasably connected to, and laterally displaceable in relation to, the respective bogies. Supporting devices are mounted at the ends of the load carrier. They support the load carrier when it is displaced in relation to the bogie. Each supporting device comprises an abutment device which is vertically operable between a pulled-up position and an extended position. At each end of the load carrier there is also a displacing driving device for displacing the load carrier relative to the bogie, and a device that counteracts tilting tendencies of the load carrier. Each abutment device comprises a sliding member, which can slide on the base in the extended position. The railway wagon can thus be displaced, for instance pivoted outwards at one end, to allow a truck to be driven on to or off the same.
Abstract:
Mobile stretcher comprising a bed face on a frame provided with a head-end and a foot-end, the foot-end being provided with a fixedly arranged rack, which carries at least one medical instrument, the rack being formed so that the medical instrument carried by the rack is located midwise above the foot-end.
Abstract:
A system and method for controlling and monitoring the operation of an automatic milking system (1), wherein a central processing unit (8) is arranged to receive signals from peripheral hardware units (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, R) and to process the signals for obtaining hardware status related information or milking animal status related information. An interface (9, 10, 11, 12, 13) is arranged for communication between the central processing unit and an operator. The interface includes a device for understanding and interpreting vocal instructions from an operator and translating them into machine understandable instructions. The central processing unit includes a device for controlling or regulating at least one of the peripheral hardware units, or to provide status related information in vocal form as a response to said vocal instructions.
Abstract:
A method of generating a frequency distribution of scores comprising: a) generating mass data for a biological molecule; b) generating mass data for a series of random hypothetical biological molecules; c) calculating a frequency distribution of high similarity scores between mass data of each molecule generated in steps a and b.
Abstract:
A teat cleaning device for animals includes a plurality of circumferentially separated elongated brushes individually rotatable about a vertical longitudinal axis, each of the brushes having bristles extending outwardly from a vertical shaft, the brushes together defining a central teat receiving space where the bristles of a lower portion of each brush are inclined upwardly from the vertical shaft.
Abstract:
A system and a method for moving a measuring device (4, 30) to a plurality of positions above a test object (12), e.g. an electrically or electronically equipped printed board, at which the EMC, of the test object (12) is measured and later stored in a memory together with the position of the measuring device. The system includes a computer (18) and a measuring device (4, 30). The positioning device (8) moves the measuring device (3, 30) across the test object (12) from one position to another, wherein the number of positions and their coordinates are preselected and stored in a computer (18) for a later repetition of the measurement. Each position is assigned with a measurement value which is stored in the memory of the computer (18) together with the coordinates of the measuring device (4, 30). At each position, the power to the control devices is shut-off, in order to minimize interference with the measurements.
Abstract:
A device for processing trees or the like comprises two grabbing members pivotable towards and away from each other about hinges and carrying rolls provided to feed trunks at an angle to the pivotal plane of the grabbing members. The hinges are, in a base of the device, arranged movable towards and away from each other without simultaneous pivoting of the grabbing members.
