摘要: A graphical user interface (GUI) for a system for querying web data includes a query entry component defined to receive textual input of a query language (QL) statement. The QL statement identifies one or more QL tables associated with one or more web data sources. The GUI also includes a results data display component defined to visually display results data obtained from execution of the QL statement present in the query entry component. The GUI further includes a QL web service universal resource locator (URL) conveyance component defined to visually and electronically convey a QL web service URL defined to access one or more QL tables identified in the QL statement through the Internet and retrieve direction from the one or more QL tables regarding access and retrieval of data from the one or more web data sources associated with the one or more QL tables.

摘要: A structured file includes information to bind a web data source to a web data query system. Code is embedded within the structured file and is in a code language understood by the web data query system. The code is unrestricted in function. Code language objects are exposed within the web data query system for use by the code to interface with the web data query system and the web data source. A URL is associated with the structured file to enable access of the structured file through the Internet. A unit-based quota method is implemented to manage execution of code in the structured file. The unit-based quota method collapses multiple dimensions of computing resource control into a single unit value, tracks a number of units expended by the code, and stops execution of the code when the number of units expended by the code reaches a set limit.

摘要: A computer-implemented system for web data transformation sourcing is disclosed to include a search module defined to receive a set of original input data types and a set of ultimate output data types. The search module is defined to locate one or more web based sources defined to transform the set of original input data types into the set of ultimate output data types. The search module is further defined to generate a transformation solution that when executed utilizes the one or more located web based sources to transform the set of original input data types into the set of ultimate output data types. The transformation solution is digitally conveyed.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention combine the flexibility of the computer in segmenting, indexing, and retrieving data with the strengths of people in analyzing scenes. They provide a mechanism that allows a group of analyzers at distributed locations to collaborate in generating pieces of semantic information of a data stream, integrates these pieces into a summary representation that can be used for subsequent computation, and allows related hypotheses and information requests to be presented back to the analyzers. This description is not intended to be a complete description of, or limit the scope of, the invention. Other features, aspects, and objects of the invention can be obtained from a review of the specification, the figures, and the claims.

摘要: A method for adjusting a natural refrigeration cycle rate of an air conditioner includes monitoring a time between at least two sequential refrigeration “off” events or at least two sequential refrigeration “on” events, and determining whether the time is below or above a predetermined time. If the time is below the predetermined time, the method further includes increasing a refrigeration “on” temperature threshold. If, however, the time is above the predetermined time, the method further includes decreasing the refrigeration “on” temperature threshold.

摘要: A physical key is used to propose an association between a guest device and user information and services. Contact-based or contact-less connectors are used to establish the proposed association between the physical key and the guest device. The proposed association then communicated to the dynamic authentication system over a first communication channel. The dynamic authentication system determines a user confirmation over a second communications channel based on a user device and previously determined associations between users, user devices and the physical key. The guest device is then authenticated for access to information and/or services associated with the user. The information retrieved from and/or transmitted to the user's personal information repository is optionally protected using various transformations. Optional session identifiers supported on the physical key and/or the user device, ensure the protected information is inaccessible when the physical key is removed and/or the predetermined association with the user device is deleted.

摘要: Anchored conversations are maintained by a conversation coordinator that retrieves an anchor position from an artifact and maintains a position of a conversation client relative to the retrieved anchor position. The conversations are synchronous and asynchronous communications. The anchors, and hence the conversations may be moved within the artifact or to other artifacts. The conversation clients include detach and re-attach buttons that allow a conversation to be detached and reattached from/to a corresponding anchor. The conversation coordinator manages conversations anchored in any number of different applications. Each conversation is accessible either by invoking an associated anchor within a corresponding artifact (embodied as an ActiveX control, for example), or via the conversation coordinator. A database is connected to each conversation and is a silent participant maintaining a record of the conversation and any metadata regarding the conversation. The database is available for query by a user and/or the conversation coordinator.
