摘要: A spectral power distribution of an original reference white which is a reference white of an original color space is restored from a color temperature of the original reference white or from a correlated color temperature obtained from the chromaticity of the original reference white when the color temperature is unknown and a spectral power distribution of an aimed reference white which is a reference white of an aimed color space from a color temperature of the aimed reference white or a correlated color temperature obtained from chromaticity of the aimed reference white when the color temperature is unknown. A surface reflectance of an arbitrary color in the original color space is restored by using tristimulus values of the arbitrary color, the spectral power distribution of the original reference white and human color matching function to obtain tristimulus values of a color in the aimed color space. With this, it is possible to make colors in the color image devices having different color temperatures of the reference whites coincident without necessity of constraint of special observing condition influencing human color adaptation and with minimum amount of calculation.

摘要: In reproducing an input RGB (red, green, and blue) color defined by particular tristimulus values by CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) ink, color samples having a plurality of colors at controlled amounts of CMY (cyan, magenta, and yellow) with respect to a plurality of different amounts of K (black) ink are measured to be used as an original CMYK color reproduction zone. The original CMYK color reproduction zone is divided into individual CMYK color reproduction zones for each respective amount of the K ink. The individual CMYK color reproduction zones are memorized. All of the individual CMYK color reproduction zones are searched in response to the input RGB color defined by the particular tristimulus values to obtain at least one set of the amounts of the CMYK ink corresponding to the input RGB color. When a plurality of sets of the amounts of the CMYK ink are obtained, there sets are memorized as memorized sets of the amounts of the CMYK ink. Two sets of the amounts of the CMYK ink are selected from the memorized sets as selected sets of the amounts of the CMYK ink in accordance with a preselected K ink adjustment coefficient and interpolation is carried out using the K ink adjustment coefficient as a value of an interior division ratio to obtain a single set of the amounts of the CMYK ink corresponding to the input RGB color.

摘要: Spectral power distribution of an illumination is restored using color information in a region of the specific object in an input image and a pre-specified representative surface reflectance of the specific object. The surface reflectance in the region of the specific object is restored from the color information and the spectral power distribution of the illumination. The surface reflectance is corrected using three or more pre-specified reference surface reflectances of the specific object. The color in the region of the specific object is calculated from the spectral power distribution of the illumination and the corrected surface reflectance.

摘要: Each pixel of an input image is subjected to first color conversion by means of colorimetric color reproduction and converted to a first color device value of a target color space. Further, a difference DI between a white luminance of an originating color space and a luminance of pixels of the originating color space is calculated. When generating an output image, pixels with a difference DI of 0 keeps the color device value of the originating color space. For the pixels with a difference DI greater than 0, a second color device value is calculated as a color device value of the output image, the second color device value being a sum of the abovementioned color device value and a value which is obtained by multiplying the difference between the first color device value and the abovementioned color device value by a coefficient that is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 1. Due to this, when generating an output image of a target color space from an input image of an originating color space, the color image can be reproduced more brightly while achieving coincident color appearance.

摘要: An object area detection means detects an object area which is an area to be subjected to image processing from an input image. A reflection component reconstruction means calculates color information of the object area and a perfect diffusion component, which is a low-frequency component of the object area, and reconstructs a surface reflection component based on the color information and the low-frequency component. An albedo calculation means calculates an albedo, which is color information obtained by removing shading information, which is information that represents luminance of the perfect diffusion component, from the perfect diffusion component. An albedo correction processing means reconstructs a surface reflectance of the object area based on the albedo and the color information in the object area, and then calculates the corrected albedo, which is color information obtained by correcting the albedo based on the surface reflectance.

摘要: In ultrashort optical pulse modulating equipment optical pulses emitted from a laser in synchronism with input electrical signals are modulated by the electrical signals, the modulated optical pulses are applied to a first-stage pulse interval compressor, in which they are alternately distributed, one by one, by an optical switch to two optical fiber delay lines, two modulated optical pulses delayed by the two optical fiber delay lines are brought close to each other, and modulated optical pulse groups, each composed of two closely spaced modulated optical pulses, are output from an optical coupler. Also in the next-stage pulse interval compressor the modulated optical pulse groups input thereinto are alternately distributed, one by one, by an optical switch to two optical fiber delay lines, in which predetermined delays are caused in the modulated optical pulse groups, respectively, and then they are coupled together by an optical coupler, thereby creating modulated optical pulse groups each composed of four modulated optical pulses. In this way, modulated optical pulse groups are applied to n cascade-connected pulse interval compressors one after another, in which they are brought close to each other two by two and then coupled together, thereby producing modulated optical pulse packets compressed as desired.
