Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for simultaneously detecting a plurality of pathogens from biologically-derived samples, and a kit for carrying out the method. Specifically, the present invention relates to a method for simultaneously detecting a plurality of pathogens that cause infectious uveitis, one of eye infections from samples such as anterior chamber fluid or vitreous by polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and a kit for carrying out the method.
Abstract:
Provided are exfoliated graphite that rarely folds, rarely curls, and rarely causes corrosion of an electrode when used as the electrode material, and a method for manufacturing the exfoliated graphite. Exfoliated graphite being graphene or a laminate of graphene sheets, the exfoliated graphite having a ratio 2 D/G of 0.5 or more and 5.0 or less, the ratio 2 D/G being a peak area ratio of a 2 D band to a G band in a Raman. spectrum measured. using Raman spectroscopy, and a halogen content of 1,000 ppm or less.
Abstract:
This invention provides a simple analysis method by a PCR method that simultaneously performs, in a single container, separating nucleic acid of pathogens contained in a tissue fragment and preparing a PCR buffer solution, and a kit used for the analysis method. A method for detecting a pathogen includes: (1) obtaining a liquid specimen mixture by adding a tissue fragment containing a pathogen to a PCR buffer solution containing a proteolytic enzyme; (2) heating the liquid specimen mixture at a first temperature; (3) further heating at a second temperature; (4) performing PCR by adding a portion of the liquid mixture obtained in (3) above to a solid composition for PCR reaction containing DNA polymerase and one or more kinds of PCR primer pair; and (5) detecting a PCR product generated in (4) above.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a marker useful for early diagnosis and differentiation of Alzheimer's disease, and use thereof. An Alzheimer's disease biomarker composed of blood flotillin is provided.
Abstract:
A vector-magnetic-property-controlling material according to the present embodiment is subjected to a scratching process in two directions that intersect on the surface of a steel material. An iron core according to the present embodiment is configured from an oriented magnetic steel material which has been subjected to a scratching process in two directions that intersect on the surface thereof.
Abstract:
In a power converter, a first electrical path connects between the series resonant circuit and a selected terminal from the high- and low-side input and output terminals of the power converter. An auxiliary diode is provided on one of the series resonant circuit and the first electrical path. An auxiliary switch, when turned on, causes an inductor current to flow through the auxiliary diode to the resonance inductor, thus storing electromagnetic energy into the resonance inductor, and causes the resonance inductor and the capacitance component of the series resonant circuit to resonate with each other. A second electrical path bypasses the auxiliary switch for flow of the inductor current. A discharge unit is provided on the second electrical path. The discharge unit is activated to discharge the electromagnetic energy stored in the resonance inductor via the second electrical path.
Abstract:
There is provided a capacitor electrode material that does not require the use of a conductive aid and can increase the capacitance of an electric double layer capacitor. A capacitor electrode material comprising resin-remaining partially exfoliated graphite obtained by pyrolyzing a resin in a composition in which the resin is fixed to graphite or primary exfoliated graphite by grafting or adsorption, the resin-remaining partially exfoliated graphite having a structure in which graphite is partially exfoliated, with part of the resin remaining; and a binder resin.
Abstract:
Provided are a method of manufacturing an olefin having 2 to 4 carbon atoms including: reacting a catalyst with synthesis gas through a Fischer-Tropsch reaction, thereby obtaining the olefin having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, in which the catalyst is a catalyst obtained by reducing the iron ion and the cobalt ion in a dispersion liquid or a solution containing the iron ion, the cobalt ion and a dispersant that interacts with the iron ion and the cobalt ion, and a method of manufacturing propylene, which uses the above manufacturing method.

Abstract:
An information processing system includes a processor that performs an object detection to detect an object from a detection target image. The processor divides the detection target image into a group of first grid cells. The object is positioned to overlap a group of second grid cells included in the group of the first grid cells. At this time, the processor generates a bounding box in a respective second grid cell included in the group of the second grid cells. The processor surrounds a portion of the object positioned in the respective second grid cell with the bounding box generated in the respective second grid cell and displays, on a display, a position and shape of the object by a collection of a plurality of bounding boxes superimposedly on the detection target image.
