Abstract:
A hybrid magnetic bubble memory device comprising soft magnetic material propagation tracks and ion-implanted propagation tracks. In the soft magnetic material propagation track region, a layer made of a heat-resistant polymer was provided as an interlaminar insulating layer between a conductor and a pattern of a soft magnetic material. An insulator film made of a heat-resistant polymer was provided on the pattern made of a soft magnetic material. A passivation film made of an inorganic material was provided on the ion-implanted propagation tracks and the insulator film made of a heat-resistant polymer.
Abstract:
A magnetic bubble memory has a plurality of minor loops for storing data represented by magnetic bubble sequences, a write line for transferring write data to couple them to the minor loops and a read line for transferring read data to a bubble detector. The read line is coupled to a plurality of auxiliary loops through replicators and the auxiliary loops are coupled to the minor loops through replicators. The data replicated to the auxiliary loops are read out.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an improved method and apparatus for driving a magnetic bubble device, in which a d-c voltage supply and drive coils are connected to a bridge circuit consisting of four bi-directional switches, and alternating currents with steps (such as currents consisting of triangular waves or trapezoidal waves) are produced in the drive coils by suitably controlling the turn on or off of the bi-directional switches. As a result, the d-c level in the alternating current is not shifted by the variation in width of pulses which control the opening and closing of the bi-directional switches, and the magnetic bubble device is provided with a greatly improved operation margin.

Abstract:
Some embodiments provide a system that facilitates the creation of an equation. During operation, the system obtains a user selection of a function to be used in the equation. Next, the system determines a state of a graphical user interface (GUI) associated with a software program. More specifically, the system may determine a cursor position or a text selection in the equation. Finally, the system facilitates the creation of the equation by inserting the function into the equation based at least on the determined state.
Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to stably obtain uniform droplets and embolus particles in large quantities. Disclosed is a device for droplet formation which includes: a dispersed-phase outlet through which a dispersed-phase material, e.g., an aqueous gelatin solution, is discharged; continuous-phase outlets through which a continuous-phase material, e.g., an oil, is discharged; a confluence part which communicates with the dispersed-phase outlet and the continuous-phase outlets and in which the dispersed-phase material is caused to flow into the liquid of the continuous-phase material at a given constant static pressure; and a droplet formation part which has been disposed on the downstream side of the confluence part and in which the dispersed-phase material is allowed to become droplets by means of cohesive force.
Abstract:
A projector is provided which can secure long-term reliability and enable high-speed start-up through suppression of local heat generation of phosphor. The projector includes a light source device including an excitation light source emitting excitation light, a phosphor disk on which a phosphor that converts the excitation light into fluorescence is continuously formed in a circumferential direction of the phosphor disk, a motor unit rotating the phosphor disk in the circumferential direction, a light modulation device generating an image light through modulation of light including the fluorescence, and a projection optical system projecting the image light. If the number of rotations of the phosphor disk reaches a predetermined number that is smaller than a target number, the excitation light source is turned on, while if the number of rotations of the phosphor disk is increased after reaching the predetermined number, an output of the excitation light source is increased.

A position detecting system includes an indicating device including a photodiode that detects timing of a light pulse and a transmission unit that transmits a signal representing the timing, a plurality of light sources that emit light pulses to areas acquired by dividing a screen into a plurality of parts at timings unique to the light sources, a reception unit that receives the signal representing the timing, and a control unit that detects a position of the indicating device based on the signal representing the timing.

An image display apparatus includes a light source controlled to be turned on and off, a spatial light modulator that modulates light from the light source, and a controller that alternately switches an image to be displayed between an image for the left eye and an image for the right eye and turns on the light source so that the image for the left eye or the image for the right eye is displayed. When the image for the left eye is displayed, the controller starts opens a shutter for the left eye in eyeglasses before turning on the light source, whereas when the image for the right eye is displayed, the controller starts opening a shutter for the right eye in the eyeglasses before turning on the light source.
