摘要: For the purpose of reducing exposure of a subject to unnecessary radiation by controlling the tube current according to the X-ray emitting direction with respect to a region to be examined in the subject, a transmission area S is calculated from a cross-sectional plane (S801) and an ellipticity R is calculated for the cross-sectional plane (S802, S803). An image SD of a region having the transmission area S is then calculated (S804), and a SD ratio of a region having the ellipticity R is calculated (S805). An image SD of a region having the transmission area S and ellipticity R is then calculated using the image SD and the SD ratio (S806). Next, a target SD is specified (S807), and the tube current that controls X-rays emitted in the major-axis direction in the cross-sectional plane of the subject is calculated using the image SD obtained at S806 and the target SD (S808), and the tube current that controls X-rays emitted in the minor-axis direction in the cross-sectional plane of the subject is calculated using the obtained tube current and R (S809).

摘要: The present invention provides an X-ray CT apparatus capable of obtaining each tomographic image indicative of X-ray tube voltage dependent information of a subject with the optimum image quality by less reduced exposure. The X-ray CT apparatus includes device for setting a plurality of X-ray tube voltages and sets imaging conditions used in the photography using the respective X-ray tube voltages in such a manner that respective image noise of tomographic images photographed at the X-ray tube voltages become substantially identical to one another. The setting of the imaging conditions is the setting of X-ray tube currents. The X-ray tube currents are set based on geometrical characteristic amounts of the subject determined from each scout image in such a manner that the respective image noise of the tomographic images photographed at the plurality of X-ray tube voltages become substantially identical to one another.

摘要: This invention provides an X-ray CT capable of presenting information of exposure to the operator by displaying X-ray dose information of each of regions of interest to be scanned by an X-ray CT apparatus, thereby encouraging reduction in exposure and optimization. X-ray dose information of each region to be scanned by a conventional scan (axial scan), a cine scan, a helical scan, or a variable-pitch helical scan of an X-ray CT apparatus is displayed so that the operator can recognize the X-ray dose information before acquisition of an image of a subject. The X-ray dose information can be predicated with higher precision and displayed by using a dose prediction value obtained by an interpolation value and an extrapolation value of the first or higher order on at least three or more kinds of phantom measurement values, not a simple prediction value such as a zero-th order interpolation value or a zero-th order extrapolation value obtained by using measurement values of two kinds of phantoms like in the present CTDI display.

摘要: A medical diagnostic apparatus that includes an examination means for examining a subject to generate medical information; operation console means retaining information on an examination plan for a plurality of subjects, for managing the operation of examinations by the examination means; and display means provided on a surface of a housing of the examination means, for displaying information identifying the current subject to be examined transmitted by the operation console means. Thus, the subject can directly confirm the relationship between himself and the examination means visually from the information identifying the current subject to be examined (e.g., the name of the patient A) displayed on the display means under an inseparable condition.

摘要: For the purpose of reconstructing a plurality of X-ray tomographic images having a plurality of practical slice thicknesses while reducing the number of X-ray detector arrays and simplifying configuration, X-rays generated by an X-ray tube 4 are emitted via a slit 15 of a collimator 6 toward a detector 8 disposed opposite to the X-ray tube 4; the length (width) of the collimator 6's slit 15 in the D1 direction and the position of the collimator 6 in the D1 direction are adjustable; the detector 8 is comprised of four X-ray detector arrays; and the widths of the two outer X-ray detector arrays in the D1 direction are larger than the widths of the two center X-ray detector arrays.

摘要: In order to provide a projection data correction method and apparatus that prevents artifact generation in the direction which provides a low count of penetrating radiation, and a radiation tomographic imaging method employing such a projection data correction method and a radiation tomographic imaging apparatus comprising the projection data correction apparatus, projection data Projij is individually corrected by a weighted addition (604, 606, 608) with an average value (602) containing the proximate data. The weight SGij of the projection data is decreased as the count of the penetrating radiation from which the projection data is derived becomes smaller.
