摘要： A seed rack (20) for use in assembling artificial seeds is provided. The seed rack includes base (22) having a length and a plurality of receptacles (26). Each one of the plurality of receptacles is sized and configured to receive at least one artificial seed coat (28) having an opening. The seed rack also includes a retaining arm (24) attached to the base for reciprocating movement between an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, the retaining arm clamps the at least one artificial seed coat within one of the plurality of receptacles and assists in positioning the opening of the at least one artificial seed coat within the seed rack.

摘要： There is provided a method for implementing a cathodic protection system for an underground storage tank. A DC voltage source provides a test current between the installed anode and storage tank resulting in the flow of electrical current. If the output is above a defined value, an automatic control DC power supply has sufficient voltage capacity to deliver the required current. If the anode test currents fall below the required minimum current, additional anode(s) are installed as set forth in a pre-engineered table. The method allows for the installation of a cathodic protection system by technicians and other non-experts.

摘要： The invention provides methods for improving the germination of manufactured seeds. The methods comprise the step of inserting a plant embryo having a shoot end into a shoot restraint comprising an interior surface, wherein at least one of the interior surface of the shoot restraint and the plant embryo is contacted with a hydrated gel before or after inserting the plant embryo into the shoot restraint. The hydrated gel may comprise nutrients for the plant embryo. Another aspect of the invention provides manufactured seeds comprising a hydrated gel disposed between the shoot restraint and the plant embryo.

摘要： An ozone generator in which an air pump discharges air through a plurality of juxtaposed, successive, tubular housings, each of which has concentric wire mesh electrodes separated by dielectric tubes. A high a.c. potential, insufficient to cause a spark discharge, is imposed across the electrodes so that the oxygen of the air is progressively converted into ozone. The ozone laden air is directed through non-return valves into water flowing in a pipe for the purpose of destroying bacteria therein.

摘要： in an artificial general intelligence system that is safe for humans, distributed ledger technology (DLT, ‘blockchain’) is integral to the methods to reduce the probability of hacking, provide an audit trail to cheaply detect and correct errors or identify components causing vulnerability or failure and replace them or shut them down remotely and/or automatically. Smart contracts based on DLT are necessary to address evolution of AI that will be too fast for human monitoring and intervention. Proposed methods of a safe AGI system: 1) Access to technology by market license. 2) Transparent ethics embodied in DLT. 3) Morality encrypted via DLT. 4) Behavior control structure with values (ethics) at roots. 5) Individual bar-code identification of all critical components. 6) Configuration Item (from business continuity/disaster recovery planning). 7) Identity verification secured via multi-factor authentication and DLT. 8) ‘Smart’ automated contracts based on DLT. 9) Decentralized applications—AI software code modules encrypted via DLT. 10) Audit trail of component usage stored via DLT. 11) Social ostracism (denial of societal resources) augmented by DLT petitions.
