摘要: Systems and methods for encoding data in a machine-readable image (e.g., an artificial fingerprint) are disclosed. The methods include segmenting a plurality of bits included in a bit stream to be encoded into a plurality of blocks such that each block includes two or more of the plurality of bits. The plurality of blocks are used to generate a minutiae template comprising a plurality of minutiae points each of which is representative of a local ridge discontinuity in a fingerprint, and is associated with a location and an orientation. An artificial fingerprint is generated from the minutiae template, and stored in association with the bit stream. The artificial fingerprint encodes the bit stream and comprises a plurality of ridges and a plurality of valleys.

摘要: A printing system and method of inspecting drop ejection in a printing system is disclosed. The method includes capturing an image of each of a plurality of drops of a print material after ejection from an ejector of a printing system, creating a temporally averaged image from each image of the plurality of drops of print material, and classifying one of the plurality of drops of print material based on the temporally averaged image that was created. The use of a pretrained convolutional neural network for classifying one of the plurality of drops and comparing the temporally averaged image to another temporally averaged image to classify one of the plurality of drops may be employed. The printing system also includes a camera with a high-speed shutter where the shutter is synchronized to an ejector pulse, and a video analytic framework coupled to the ejector and the camera configured to generate a jetting result for each of the one or more drops of liquid print material.

摘要: A multispectral watermark and method for generating the multispectral watermark. A color pattern can be provided, which appears a single color/pattern under a first lighting condition. A watermark can be created based on the color pattern and under a second lighting condition comprising ultraviolet light, while the watermark is viewable with an infrared camera in an infrared spectrum. The watermark can be configured as a multispectral watermark with a metameric pair of inks with one ink of the metameric pair of inks using more CMYK toners that reflect in the infrared spectrum as compared to the other ink among the metameric pair of inks while simultaneously allowing more of the ultraviolet light or less of the ultraviolet light to reach a fluorescing media upon which the multispectral watermark is rendered.
