Abstract: An electronic device including: one or more processors to control operations thereof, to simultaneously process multiple wireless signals received from a plurality of multimedia devices transmitting streaming media content and to transmit the processed wireless signals to another one of the plurality of multimedia devices; a storage device to store received broadcast media content; and a network controller to wirelessly receive streaming broadcast media content from a plurality of broadcast media sources, to provide a wired and a wireless connectivity to the plurality of multimedia devices, to exchange media processing capabilities between the electronic device and the plurality of multimedia devices after establishing network connections therebetween, to receive a wireless signal including streaming media content from at least one of the plurality of multimedia devices, and to stream a processed version of the received wireless signal including streaming media content to another one of the plurality of multimedia devices, the processed version of the received wireless signal including streaming media content being processed based on the received media processing capabilities of the multimedia device receiving the transmitted wireless signal including streaming media content.

Abstract: There is provided with an information processing apparatus and a method of controlling the same. The apparatus sets a naming rule for an image file and determines whether or not the set naming rule satisfies a predetermined condition. If it is determined that the naming rule does not satisfy the predetermined condition, the information processing apparatus warns a user. On the other hand, if it is determined that the naming rule satisfies the predetermined condition, the information processing apparatus generates a file name of the image file in accordance with the set naming rule, and stores the image file with the file name.

Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes: an operation receiver, an image processor configured to perform image processing to add a digital watermark containing address information of the image processing apparatus to a first image to thereby generate a second image; a communication controller configured to receive a taking-out request to take out the digital watermark contained in the second image from an information processing device; and a storage controller configured to store a log in a storage unit. When receiving the taking-out request, the image processor performs image processing to take out the digital watermark contained in the second image to thereby generate the first image. The communication controller transmits the first image generated by the image processor to the information processing device. The storage controller stores, in the storage unit, the log containing identification information identifying the user of the information processing device from which the taking-out request is transmitted.

Abstract: A method, system, and processor-executable software for processing images or video captured by a smartphone or other digital image capture device for subsequent validation and authentication captures not only the image, but also metadata relevant to the authenticity of validity of the image, such as position, time, camera movement and orientation, image parameters, and so forth. The image is watermarked and both the watermarked image and the metadata, as well as a symmetric key used in the watermarking, are digitally signed and transmitted or uploaded to a web server or authentication centric entity for authentication and storage. When a third party submits an image to the web server or authentication centric entity, the submitted image is compared with the stored watermarked image for authentication and validation of the submitted image, and the metadata is then retrieved to enable analysis of the contents of authenticated and validated image.

Abstract: A server device includes memory to store: a database of frame fingerprints ordered sequentially by media item number and frame number for media items, and a hash table containing (key, value) entries each including a hashed frame fingerprint and index number(s) to the database. A processor coupled to the memory is to, for an input set of hashed frame fingerprints, select a most recent hashed frame fingerprint. The processor performs a lookup with the most recent hashed frame fingerprint to identify a plurality of index numbers from a matching entry. The processor retrieves a target plurality of frame fingerprints from the database using each of the plurality of index numbers as a starting point; calculates a rank distance between the input set and each respective target plurality of frame fingerprints; and selects the target plurality of frame fingerprints for which the rank distance is shortest, to identify a media item.

Abstract: This disclosure describes a distributed reader architecture for a mobile computing device such as cellular telephone handset. One claim recites a portable computing device including: memory for storing a library of processing components, the library including a signal detector component and an audio fingerprinting component; a microphone for capturing ambient audio; one or more processors configured for: invoking the audio fingerprinting component for processing captured audio to produce an audio fingerprint, wherein the audio fingerprinting component comprises a filtering process, in which the filtering process produces components of the captured audio that are used to produce the audio fingerprint; and invoking the signal detector component, in which the signal detector component comprises a fast detect process for analyzing the captured audio to determine the presence of an auxiliary signal within the captured audio, and when the presence of the auxiliary signal is detected, controlling the signal detector component for detecting the auxiliary signal to yield a detected auxiliary signal. The device further includes a communications output for communicating the audio fingerprint and the detected auxiliary signal to a remotely located server. Abstract: Methods for selecting a binding-element are provided. The method comprised of different steps. A first mixture is formed using at least one target molecule and a plurality of oligomers, followed by incubating the first mixture to form a second mixture comprising at least one target-bound oligomer and at least one target-unbound oligomer. Then a first accelerator is added to cleave the target-unbound oligomer and the target-bound oligomer is separated from the target molecule. This is followed by addition of a second accelerator for ligation, and a third accelerator for amplification followed by sequencing and post sequence analysis to select the binding-element.
