    摘要: Disclosed is an optical network device for connecting a plurality of processors in a multiprocessor system, which has: a plurality of network interface devices corresponding to the plurality of processors; and an optical switch device; where each of the plurality of network interface devices comprises an optical transmitter and an optical receiver which are connected with the optical switch device through optical fibers and a network interface control circuit, the optical switch device comprises an optical switch connected with the optical transmitter and the optical receiver and an optical switch control circuit, the network interface control circuit and the optical switch control circuit are connected with each other through a transmission request signal line, a transmission-ending signal line and a transmission-start request signal line, the network interface control circuit sends out a transmission request with an addressee address through the transmission request signal line and notifies the optical switch control circuit of an end of data transmission through the transmission-ending signal line, and the optical switch control circuit arbitrates the transmission request, thereafter switching the optical switch and ordering the network interface control circuit to transmit data through the transmission-start request signal line.

This involves: storing in a state transition storage unit (STSU) definitions of a plurality of state transitions corresponding to system configurations; storing in an additional STSU definitions of state transitions used in system operation, which are different from the plurality of state transitions; receiving definitions of state transitions and registering the definitions in the additional STSU; analyzing system availability based on the definitions of the state transitions stored in the STSU and the definitions of the state transitions stored in the additional STSU; analyzing common state transition patterns in at least part of definitions of the plurality of state transitions used when operating the system, and stored in the additional STSU; and outputting analysis results on the common state transition patterns.

    摘要: In a communications network, each network node includes a first module that handles a group of channels between its input and output ports as a route decision unit and a second module that handles a channel between its input and output ports as a route decision unit. A module state database stores module cost data of the first and second modules and a link state database stores link cost data of the links. Using the module and link state databases a route of minimum cost is determined and a connection is established between an incoming link and one of the input ports of the first and second modules and a connection is established between one of the output ports of the first and second modules and an outgoing link. The contents of the module and state databases are broadcast to the network.

    摘要: The present invention provides means by which a switch controller that manages lines directly notifies receivers of ineffectiveness of received data upon line disconnection instead of any transmitter indirectly notifying receivers; and according to the invention, an optical transmitter is provided within the optical switching unit, and a switch controller controls the optical transmitter within the optical switching unit and an optical switch having at its input ports one or more dummy ports capable of multicast-transmission. According to this control, upon line disconnection, receivers are connected to the optical transmitter within the optical switching unit that transmits control code in real time, thereby preventing receivers from receiving ineffective data and obviating superfluous signal lines and communication processes between the switch controller and transmitters.

    摘要: An optical switching network and control method are disclosed which include a network interface circuit and an optical switching device. The network interface device divides messages into control and data packets, and has transmission buffers for the storage of the control packets and data packets. Retry buffers for the temporary shunting and storage of control packets and data packets are provided, as well as a queue control circuit for controlling the transmission buffers and retry buffers. An optical transmitter electro-optically converts the data packets and outputs the results to an optical transmission path. An optical receiver is also provided for photoelectric conversion of optical signals inputted from the optical transmission path. A reception buffer stores the output of the optical receiver as reception data. The optical switching device includes an optical switch that performs a routing process on data packets transmitted from the optical transmitter, and an arbiter that performs management of line connection information, processing of control packets from the data transmitter, transmission of control signals to the queue control circuit, and switching control of the optical switch.
